Kamaev is playing a regular shift in the KHL so it would be a waste to pick him up, if he won't report to a cup host like quebec, it's no use... The rumor from a couple sources is a player from Que at the start of the trading period, that means a player on their roster, probably a 1997 or 1998...Rehill? Garneau? Sutton would be my guess? I wouldn't be surprised to see Timashov traded here sometime in the off-season (obviously sometime when he is able to be traded). It would make sense since Moncton would then only need to draft one new euro That would make sense...

Hodge says we will get three impact veterans from the two trades, a goalie, a defenceman and a forward. I am assuming they will be 17 or 18 since Shannon mentioned they were strengthening the future. I am hoping Burke is not one of them but who knows. where did he say that?

It's on the electronic version of the Transcript. Should be in tomorrow's paper version.

Who could the goalie be? Bellemare or Foulem? Can't be Booth.
Welsh or Girard for the defenceman? Can't see it being Girard.
best guesses?

How could Foulem be an impact veteran? And Antoine has a .834 save %. Bellemare is left.
Welsh and Timashov for the others?
Hard to say if it is one from Quebec and 2 from Shawinigan or vice versa.

Long shot but Alexis D'aoust would certainly be an impact veteran and only 18. I'm confused why is Shawinigan is buying when their division has what will be the best two teams in the Q in it. They have a great core of young players to work with towards to contender in 2 seasons.
Perhaps just feeling some pressure to win a playoff round

Not enough difference and he has more years left. I'm assuming they want more offence and are giving something up where they are stronger and won't miss it.

Burke won't be coming right away. It takes a day or so to process the paperwork for Tkachev's transfer and the Gov't offices are closed on the weekend.
There's a rumour around B-C that Zykov will be on his way to Moncton.

If Sweeney is indeed going to Quebec, what if Quebec sends Booth and a defenseman next year? It would be Sweeney + Tkachev vs Booth and Brouillard Does it make sense?

I'd really like to settle our goaltender situation.

Quebec's GM said that Booth isn't going anywhere. The only player he'd be traded for is Fucale.
So I'm puzzled as to who this goaltender is.
