I am thinking you two can start a new thread instead of having pages of your garbage to get through before trying to read what the original topic is. In your Bauer vs Norris thread you can argue, quote, go back and copy and paste, flirt whatever it is you would like. At the very least you can use me as a common enemy say something nasty to me, I will ignore, it will be over and we can open up a thread about the upcoming trading period and see some interesting related info that has not been discussed for the past two months. Also, respectfully you are both very interesting reads when not pissing on each other, JB your perspective and knowledge of the game is excellent. Both of you bring past teams and players in to the conversation, which is excellent. Thank you. I agree with you. My stubbornness however tells me that if someone is allowed to continually dredge up old comments then it's ok to offer the insight and perspective that those statements were made under for clarification purposes.

Just remind him what you did to the Russians on Day 8. That should be enough to scare him

Both of you bring past teams and players in to the conversation, which is excellent. lol that thread would be too easy. I'd use actual quotes to remind him of what he said while he'd make his baseless assumptions like "you said GMs shouldn't talk" Thank you. I agree with you. My stubbornness however tells me that if someone is allowed to continually dredge up old comments then it's ok to offer the insight and perspective that those statements were made under for clarification purposes. Your clarifications have been inaccurate since October and I'm certain you can't find 1 post of mine saying what you claim that I've said. Going back to Oct. 9th again: Who said Dumont isn't/shouldn't be inquiring about who's available? That's normal with Darcy, without Darcy, going for it, not going for it, etc. The "unless things fall apart" part is all I've pointed out and people got their panties in a bunch in a big way. It's October and people are acting like it's a forgone conclusion that Dumont is going to be a huge buyer at the deadline no matter what happens between now & Christmas. I think the performance of the team, the players available, the price tags of said players, the injury situation, etc. all play a pretty important role in the decision making process for management. Saying "buy or sell" is the most simplistic way to look at a complex situation. If CB doesn't look like they're near a contender on the ice (NOT ON PAPER) come Christmas, it might be worth standing pat/making a few tweeks to compete this year but waiting to "go for it" next year. If CB looks like they're a contender, like I've said multiple times, there are probably trades that I could get behind. How dare I have a view that relies on more information eh? Why the hell would I put my own trades up here? I don't know who's available, the price tag, the position CB will be in come trade deadline, the willingness of a player to report to CB, the relationships between the GMs, the scouting reports that Dumont has on players available, who they like & don't like, etc. By that logic of not being allowed to give my opinion on a proposed trade without proposing my own trade, I can't be against drinking and driving unless I drive drunk myself? Couple months after that post I'm liking the idea of a combination of standing pat/making a few teaks to compete this year but waiting to "go for it" next year.

Fucale and Murphy to Quebec is apparently done (can't tell if it's posted in this noise)
Edit: Maybe my french isn't as good as I thought?
English tweet: Willy Palov ?@willypalov 2m2 minutes ago Regarding the Fucale, Murphy to Quebec discussion. "Nothing has been finalized," Mooseheads GM Cam Russe
Edit 2: Willy Palov ?@willypalov 57s58 seconds ago And keep in mind, GMs can't announce or comment on trades prior to Dec. 19, with the exception of those involving 20-year-olds and Euros.
so it's probably done but obviously can't be confirmed by anyone on the record.

GM's just try to lessen the distraction if they can by working around the WJHC window. In this case doing it now vs letting it linger is the best option I think. For Halifax it also protects them against an injury to Fucale. Smart move in my opinion.

I'm sure Fucale was told he was being traded before he even left for U20 camp. It sucks when people use actual quotes of what was actually said eh?

No it sucks when people with no opinions sit back and try to discredit those that aren't scared to have one. That's the be all and end all of any discussion between you and I. You refuse to let it go though. Everyone sees it. They come out in every thread and ask us to let it go....you just have some issues in doing so apparently. ___________ <--There is where your last words can go since we all know you have to have it. Then we'll see if you can listen to the requests and let things go. I mean i'm game to continue the back and forth with someone with 700 posts worth of lol's and non-opinions and why having opinions before Christmas is stupid but everyone who comes here for insight is sick of the act and has requested in every thread for you and I to move on.

was there a Chicoutimi game postponed at some point this year?
Usually trade window opens when everyone is halfway through the season (34 games) but they only have 32GP with a game Thursday.

It matters not how many games they've played. Trade period always opens right after the last game before the Christmas break.

It's not always easy to have the schedule so that every team has played 34. Bathurst will have played 37 by the break. Gat/Val/Cha 36.
