Dubeau having a rough night. Looks like they don't care about Rioux now with Brassard coming at the draft. Should have started him tonight. Dubeau playing like he wants to be traded to a contender! The whole defense and both goalies look terrible...lots of bad play by both parties.

Moncton's gonna win the game...Bathurst has been admiring the scoreboard since it got to 5-0.

After my snarky comment earlier, give them credit for fighting back.

Wow. Say what you want about this team, but you have to love the character. You'd be hard pressed to find many games where they quit. 1 point out of first in the division. 4 points out of first overall with a game in hand. Yup...time to blow it up

Yup...time to blow it up That's the type of game that shows how different this team is from the 2013-14 version. Absolutely no quit. Barbashev should be the captain of the team. He does it all.

I think it was a great comeback. Let's not lose sight of the fact though that we were down 5-0 to the 18th place team in the league. If that was a top 8 team we trot back to Moncton with 0 points. (IMO) That is why I am not sure we have a go for it year. We may have a "go for a couple of rounds" team, but I still think that Moncton will make a few deals over trade season building and preparing for a weaker league over the next couple of years.

A weaker league ? I think Moncton is going to focus on building to be competitive in what will become a very strong division next year, and the year after. SJ, PEI and CB will all be strong as they are loaded with young talent. Halifax will likely find some assets somewhere that will bring them forward ... and Bathurst will be at the bottom again. I can see us making a move to acquire an 18 YO Euro that will be back next year ... but not many options out there.

We knew last year the Rimouski was set to be a powerhouse this year. Once everyone is in the line up I believe they will be unbeatable in a 7 game series. I don't see any team like that this year ready to move to that level. So, yes I think the league in general will have more parity then this year. There are 4 Maritime teams in the bottom half of the league at this point. I don't see the Maritimes dominating the league next year. I believe we will have better teams, but nothing to put a title of sure thing title on like Halifax had a couple years ago.
