Well the new look Eagles take to the ice tonight . All eyes will be on our new arrivals . Sullivan again tonight I think allowing Belanger to make his first start on the road . Olivier Lebalanc will be watched very closely tonight as all of us have heard nothing but 100 % good things about the kid . What about the others ? Who will be in ? Anderson ?....gotta figure yes ......Declan Smith and the kid from Fredericton ( MacIssac )? ...who knows ....anybody else ?
* Groulx be in Town tonight or does he take a little time to spend with his Family ? "IF" he is there , I am sure the Organization will do something appropriate in recognizing the accomplishments of Team Canada's Head Coach .

It said in the CB Post that the only one of the new players that won't be dressed tonight is MacSween and he is joining the team on Thursday.
A few new ones to get used to!!
Groulx will not be in Cape Breton tonight as he is joining Gatineau on Friday.

This is a huge game tonight for a number of reasons. These guys kicked the sh*t out of us in 4 playoff games last year and then did the same thing early this season. Although they are a 16th place team should be a huge confidence boost if the boys beat them. This is also the first game with the new look Eagles. Have to go out and get that first win and start putting together some win streaks. They need to get this win and the two on the weekend and keep going. I think they have 28 games left, I am thinking they will need 18 wins or 35 to 40 points to try and finish in that 10 to 12 range in the standings to have a shot in winning a round. Optimistic but hope they show their talent and fight to climb. They sure do not want to finish 16 to 18 and get Quebec or Rimouski. Also hope they settle on 3 lines up front and 3 defensive pairings and try and form some chemistry through consistency and being familiar with each other.

Excited for the game tonight, as already mentioned it is a huge game for them. We trail Gatineau in the standings by a few points. We also have 2 games in hand on them. Should be some good energy in the building with the LeBlanc, Belanger, and Anderson in the lineup. I think Dumont might start Belanger tonight. Hope the boys can get on a roll and start making up some ground. Still lots of hockey left! Going with the Eagles 5-2.

Solid solid first period. A few penalties but I thought the chemistry and puck movement on our power plays looked great. Hinds continues to find the score sheet and loved what I saw from Leblanc so far. Seemed like he had instant chemistry on that power play unit.First point as an Eagle. Svechnikov looked great too with a couple assists.
The question now is can we keep it going and break the curse of the past year. Would love to see a full and solid 60 min effort.
