Saint John coming off a 6-4 loss to Bathurst.
I'll say 4-2 Cats.

Tough stretch of games coming up. It would be nice if the Cats could win both these SJ games to widen the gap at the top of division.
After this it's BBA, at BBA, at Quebec and at Rimouski. Points will be hard to come by in those contests.

The SJ defense is a complete mess at the moment and the fact that Zboril was at the rink last night sporting a very serious looking knee brace I do not see him returning and helping out the D anytime soon. I'm thinking 7-2 Moncton tonight. Edit: I just realised your "shock the world" probably meant by sweeping SJ AND the three Quebec based top teams. Sorry.

Yes ... 2 games vs SJ ... 2 games vs BBA ... one each vs Que and Rim ... 6 games and 12 pts. That includes a 3 in 3 in Quebec vs BBA, Que, Rim. I think we'll be lucky to get 6 pts ... but positive thinking gets 12.

For a game featuring two teams battling for first in the division that was pretty blah.
Both teams just seemed lifeless at times, very little intensity and there was no atmosphere at all. I guess we probably got spoiled with all the entertaining games in the first half of the season, but tonight was disappointing.
It's beyond me why the Cats weren't shooting from everywhere on Bishop. He didn't look good at all. Very shaky and bad rebound control all night.

The first 2 are against SJ, who just traded away their captain and are struggling lately(3-6-1), so those 4 points are pretty accessible. Sunday BBA is playing their 3rd in 3 nights on the road, so they probably won't be at their best...still a tough opponent but those 3 games are an opportunity to "make hay" before the 3 game trip into Quebec.
