] Was ready to say that Sam Hunter is leading the league in points/game by a dman. But Jeremy Roy has 36 points in 35 games. Leading the league in points by a dman, and he's 17. He's gonna be something else at 18/19. Good period by the Moose. Great to see Falkemham back. Cavan Fitz is right there too .....14 Pts in 14 games

I forgot to comment on Hunter.....he impressed me tonight....I thought he might have been more shakey in his first outing but he held his own pretty good out there....looks to be a good fit

What a friggin pass by Meier. Reminded me of the Bobby Orr pass that's always in the intro to Coaches Corner. Edit: RDS Video (Which is actually Silvervision video) www.rds.ca/vid%C3%A9os/un-bijou-%C3%A0-halifax-3.1112243Was ready to say that Sam Hunter is leading the league in points/game by a dman. I chuckled at the fact that there's absolutely no reaction whatsoever from John Moore over that pass

I chuckled at the fact that there's absolutely no reaction whatsoever from John Moore over that pass The work Johnny does with the team is amazing, so I feel bad for saying stuff about him. But if you were a radio listener, you would have absolutely no idea that the best assist of the season just happened. A couple people have said it on here, but he sometimes gets more excited about an opposing team's goal than he does about a Moosehead's goal. I thought Ehlers played a great game. But I thought Meier should've been the first star. It's hard not to give the first start to the guy that gets a hattrick. But three of Meier's 4 passes were highlight-reel. The saucerpass he put right on Ehlers' stick for his 3rd goal was really good.

Hopefully they both play as well tonight and the stars can swap.....I'll take those 2 on top all year long-any order!!

He got caught flat footed a lot and got burned on the second goal. Marcotte just walked around him.

Being a little harsh on Hunter aren't you - playing his first game in the Q at 17. Of course he will make some mistakes. All in all,IMHO, he did what was expected of him in his first game with the Moose.

Not harsh at all.
Just saying his skating needs some work.

They are not afraid to express their opinions good or bad about any and all of the players. Take everything on here with a grain of salt.

Again, saying a player isn't the greatest skater isn't HARSH, per say.
Personally I thought his skating was fine, maybe his speed could use some work, but I think him like a lot of people were distracted by the nonsense going on in the corner on that play.
Gatineau scored 3 goals last night but they only earned 1. Refs were pretty bad.

I'm in agreement with most posters here that Sam Hunter had a great game for just arriving here & playing Junior A before last night, all of his passes were tape to tape & quickly out of the zone except for the ones he was passing to his d partner, with the exception of getting caught flatfooted on Gatineau's 2nd goal, he played well & a lot & I'm guessing he may of had one practise with the team. He is going to be another great pickup by Russell.

Hunter did well for his first game. Moved the puck quick, effectively, didn't look overly nervous or overwhelmed. He got walked a few times, but no big deal. Happens all the time to rookies. I think he thought Marcotte's goal was offside. It wasn't (close tho), but I think he gave up on the play for a split second, and that's all Marcotte needed.
Ehlers and Meier were an absolute treat to watch. We've had some great euros over the years, but I don't think it's far off to say we may be watching two of, if not, the best. And to have them play on the same team, pretty special. If Ehlers comes back next year, they will be unstoppable (they pretty much are now lol).

Will hunter dress again tonight or will Argento suit up? Where's today's game thread?
