Not a bad game. Obviously as a Moose fan, seeing Nate score with 6 seconds to tie it was thrilling. The only thing that could have made it a perfect game was Nate or Jo scoring an OT winner, or one of them scoring a shootout goal. Those things didn't happen, but that's ok. Drouin kind of disappointed me to be honest. I'm still not sure he's ready. Skill wise he is, but work ethic, and maturity, I'm not sure. He was just not on the same level as the rest of his team, and not even close to MacKinnon. It will come I'm sure, but I doubt it will happen this year. He'll probably pot a couple more goals, and finish with something like 5-25-30.
Tampa didn't deserve the win- they were hanging on for dear life for pretty much the whole 2nd, 3rd, and OT. Varlamov's weakness got exposed in the SO though, and Bishop was solid.
LOTS of 29 jerseys there. A lot of Avs jerseys too, and I'm not sure if most were simply people from Colodado, or Mooseheads fans.
For a franchise in Southern Florida, Tampa puts on a decent show, and their fans are pretty loud. It's a bit hilarious to have the announcers explain to the crowd what happens at the end of regulation though. And the "honoring" people all game long was a bit much, especially when people kept standing.
Food and beer prices were pretty steep. My coors light 24oz can was $14, and popcorn was $6 for small, $8 for large. Pretty much the cheapest food in the place lol. A pretzel at one vendor was $8.75. I shudder to think what a family with 3 kids would spend at a game like that.

Daigle i mean Drouin didnt play well last night. That's a bit harsh. But I would like to see Drouin stop looking like he's got a pair of shitty underwear under his nose. Smile for once dude. Look like you are enjoying being paid millions to play hockey instead of sulking because you aren't getting as much ice time as you think you deserve. Ice time will come to those that earn it.

Gman where were you sitting last night ? I saw a few moose jerseys, but not many . I wasn't wearing a Moose jersey- you wouldnt have been able to tell me from anyone else. Was sitting in 116-J-10 Would have sat a bit higher in hindsight. I was right on the red line but the glass covered the whole ice from there- I was too close to the penalty boxes.

Was sitting in 116-J-10 Would have sat a bit higher in hindsight. I was right on the red line but the glass covered the whole ice from there- I was too close to the penalty boxes. That's funny. We were in 114-J-10/11 and you're right would have been better higher up, but to see the game from only feet away was ok for this time. These tickets in Canada would have been 200++ and we paid 88 US ended up being around $98 CDN. I had my memorial cup hat on, and a couple in front of us were from Dartmouth, while walking to the rink and in thunder alley, there were folks from all over Halifax and Spring Hill (yes Spring Hill). Seemed everywhere I looked there was a MacKinnon jersey (Colorado)....lots of them, a few moose jerseys as well. Some snowbirds, others like us went for this game (turned mini vacation) and others were on vacation. My wife talked to Drouin very briefly after the morning skate (while I went back to the hotel to get my phone). Another family was actually in the rink for the morning skate (they were from forest hills) as they knew Rick Bowness. Colorado was staying in the Marriott waterside (only a 5 minute walk from the rink)...there were lots of Mackinnon fans waiting for him after the morning skate, before and after the game. As for the game, it was nice to be there, low scoring affair unfortunately. MacKinnon played pretty well and nice to see him tie the game with 6 secs left. Drouin may have had 10 shifts, had a few moments of Drouin like skill in the offensive zone but the NHL is obviously very different than the Q and he will adjust with time. He did play a few shifts with Stamkos. Tanguay and Iginla played alot together and complemented each other well. Iggy can still chuck em as he got into a fight. The game certainly is different in the US, very much a show and the pre-game stuff outside the rink was fun. Ofcourse it's easier when it's in the 70's instead of the 20's or lower. They had several presentations of people in their community, especially military personnel (one family got their mortgage paid off by chase)...was nice to see. One of the coolest things was the real lightning in the rink, the noise it made was pretty loud.
