Everybody in the Rink sees how much net he was leaving open last night ....I just hope it was a bad night....a really bad night . It's his body language that upsets me ......you know Sully is giving it every thing he's got ....he leaves it all out there .....Can you say that about Belanger ? Agreed hal and have heard the same from others about belanger's body language.. hopefully we see sulli back in tn and come out with a big W and the 2 pts

To me, the most glaring thing was how different we looked without Dubois. I didn't expect the loss of a 16 year old player to leave that cavernous a hole up front. Hopefully it doesn't mean that the forward depth isn't quite what we thought it was, given the very good offensive production in the second half of this season.
Belanger had a bad night, but so do the very best. Everyone is entitled to the odd bad game, and it's the first one he's really had since arriving here. He was weak, but so was the whole team. Some of the blatant turnovers in our own zone were.. as someone else put it already in this thread.... reminiscent of the first half team.
Having gone to bat to defend Belanger, I have to agree with those who thought last night was going to be Sullivan's start. He's been Mr. Friday Night in the New Year... and Belanger had lost his previous start in Halifax (although he played very well in that game).
3 losses in the last 4... it seems the post-trade honeymoon is over for now... but they're still a much better team than they were before Xmas.

Can we have a jamesnorris review on what went wrong tonight instead of stabbing at other posters? It's not really rocket surgery, they got beat the the first place team in the QMJHL aka a better team than them. There is no need to over-analyze the game. It's kind of funny that I can accurately predict what you're going to say after every loss, especially if your cousin/brother/neighbor/nephew/son/friend Miguel Sullivan isn't in the net.

Sullivan has had some stinkers also but you are not acknowledging the fact that Belanger was outright HORRIBULLL last night! Moncton being the Better Team ( no argument there ) is the main reason we lost ? I say up until the 3rd period your logic is sound but then Belanger 's play in the 3rd trumped that big time .

Dumont already made a huge mistake in bringing Brassard here (we all know how that worked out). Then he brings in Belanger and it seems as though he is trying to prove to himself that he didn't make the same mistake twice. At this point in the season we need all the points we can get, ride the hot hand until he fumbles. It's a weird situation to have two 19 year old backups. Sullivan has played excellent since the trade period, why is he on the bench so often lately? Hoping to see him in the net tonight. Victo was at the nest last night watching the game. We need a better effort if we hope to beat them tonight. A agree but to get Cadorette they would have had to give up an arm + a leg. Might as well get a star goalie in the offseason and not overpay. Belanger has definitely played better than Brassard plus he is not wasting a 20 spot.

And to think he was almost traded in a panic move to save the season ( allegedly ). Moncton got their payback last night.

You missed the point. I'm laughing at the predictability of his posts and the blatantly obvious agenda he's pushing. Every single time there is a loss, when Belanger is in the net, he takes a shot at the coaching & goaltending. If they lose with Sullivan in the net, it's just the coaches fault. My favorite is when criticizes 'line juggling' when there was an injury that requires line juggling or there simply wasn't line juggling going on in the game.

Deer was bang on. There must have been 25-30 stupid turnovers that created quality chances for Moncton. Add to that Belanger had an off night and no Dubois was really missed off the top line. Of course the lines are going to be juggled with no Dubois and still no Bishop. Svechnikov was one of the few bright spots but was robbed on a couple occasions. Sullivan will get the start against the weaker Victoriaville team like the back up should. People need give it a rest with the Sullivan should be the number 1. Yes he was great in January against mostly weak teams but did everyone forget the first half?
