After a slow start production wise that included half a dozen games playing on Defense Culli has played really well since late November and is up to 11 goals and 22 assists. His strong two way play has really been appreciated by the Cardiff fans. Below you can find some examples. Google The Inferno : Cardiff Devils Fan Community Click on Forum ……….. then scroll down to Devils Vs Blaze -Challenge Cup Semi- Home Leg- Chat/Updates Culli's goal made the NHL Youtube channel video.nhl.com/videocenter/console?catid=-6&id=764019&cmpid=rss-whatsnew

Culli's "Goal of the Year" made TSN's February Plays of the Month. It was #2 to the Super Bowl's last 2 plays the Amazing Reception and then the Interception. Culli followed that goal up by scoring the winning goal in the EIHL's Challenge Cup Championship Game this past Sunday. Cardiff defeated Sheffield 2-1 in front of over 7,000 fans in Sheffield.

Somewhere shared this somewhere else (maybe the Eagles Facebook page).
Not as nice as this goal by Culli:

If anyone was at that game...it was something to see. I believe the goalie for Val D'Or was Rafael D'Orso and what I was told (whether or not it was true) was that either a father or a grandfather or some family member passed away during this series, so, he was playing with some additional emotion. He was furious after letting this goal in. Smashed his stick. Gave the ref an earful.
I also remember a few games later when Letang (I believe) scored the OT winnter on Pavelec. People threw things on the ice at the Foreur as they were celebrating.

I believe it was Jeremy Duchesne who had lost a family member during that series and it was D'Orso who replaced him in the net and played very well considering the magnitude of the games. Also it was Brad Marchand who scored the winning goal in overtime in game 5 after an icing call.

Fair to think it was letang though Chris, he was on the ice 45+ minutes it seemed. What an atmosphere that night was. It was great to be apart of.( minus Marchand throwing stuff at fans and spitting at them )

I remember I used to sit by this old guy and he used to yell at Marchand "MARCHAND, PICK UP YOUR BEAK, PICK UP YOUR BEAK" haha. Golden.

Would be nice to see Eastlink replay some of these old games. I know they've done it before.

I can still visualize Marchand and Letang swatting at pop bottles being thrown at them with their sticks. Would be awesome to see those again.
