If Jurusik is willing to stay then we've got to go with him barring some major change. He's an NHL ranked goaltender who still has three years eligibility left. There's some thread on HF praising him a goaltender and calling him an underrated or hidden gem for the NHL draft. He should be our focus and Fortin a plan B option. Petruzzelli is another wild card that could drastically change things. He's another high end prospect and would easily be a starter in the Q as early as next season.

In the article talking about Garland being drafted he mentions that the team has a lot of returnees but also some big additions. I hope his definition of big additions isn't Fortin (no offence but I don't think he would qualify as he hasn't proved he can be a starter in the league) or the free agents, although some will likely contribute. Maybe he is referring to the euros that Moncton will draft.
Anyway, this should be a relatively busy week for Cats news because of the euro draft and Shannon repeatingly saying they will hire an assistant coach and goaltender coach by July first.

Erin King named assistant coach. Previously was an assistant coach with STFX University and worked as a scout for the Wildcats.

Scott Munroe hired as goalie coach.
Jody Mitchell was hired as the equipment manager as well. I assume he is staying on as the second assistant as well?

I remember posting last year at this time that the Cape Breton and PEI posters thought they were the teams to beat in our division. And that I was surprised that the Wildcats weren't getting more respect. Now that we're in a new year it appears Cape Breton, PEI and Saint John now feel they are the teams to beat in the division this year.
Given the admittedly risky drafts, the free agent additions and the new European players I'm thinking this team is going to be interesting to watch. Where does everyone place us in the division this year?? (make your own assumptions on whether the risky drafts will show up). I'm thinking (admittedly a little aggressive)that we will be 2nd in the division with just a little success on the drafts.

Build for the future from the backend and take Bode Wilde and Jared McIssac 1st and 2nd overall at the 2016 Draft.

What are the thoughts/expectations for Liam Murphy? I remember Hodge saying he was a future star in the league when he signed. I didn't pay much attention to Murphy's season last year so I'm just curious as to what Moncton fans think of his potential in this league is.

I think if he gets in shape he can be a guy like Monyhan at 19 and 20. Can play both ways and put up 60-70 points. Hopefully he can move into the top 9 next year and get 30-40 pts.
