How would they even know about it to report it ? It happened in the off-season ... not a story that most news services bother with because it happens daily. How many Quebec traffic stops that turn up drugs have you read about in the T&T? If you want to pick on the local paper ... pick on the fact that they didn't report that Editor Murray Guy attended Larry's Gulch. I've never even heard of this guy.

Got pulled over for a traffic violation and got arrested for possession with intention to sell or something along the lines of that. The thread title says "Accused" but the article goes further than that and says he plead guilty.

Actually nobody reported because they just found out about it. Even the Cats just found out when he went to court this week and suspended him immediately. First time I see this guy's name. Was he even working for the Cats at the time?

It was half a pound of weed. He was able to plead to a conditional sentence and he has to do 200 community service hours.

Considering that the team is entrusted with these young players, I don't imagine he will be able to keep that job.

As a junior team it's not good to have a guy like that around the team. Players at that level have enough outside temptations without having a member of the staff peddling dope...not good. No way the bigwigs knew about this...

work for free... voila community service I expect that since the crime occurred in Quebec that his service would have to be completed there ... so he can work for a Quebec based team.

No way the bigwigs knew about this... Let the many who never had a toke, please stand up. Right!!It is against the law( a very silly one at that) so the Irvings no doubt do take a very dim view of such activity so he is/will be shown the door, needless to say.
