At tonight’s game against the Islanders third period ruckus in which several of their players were sitting in the box a rather unusual incident. I sit quite near the penalty box and one of the Islanders became quite agitated with fan commentary and threw a water bottle up in the stands. I have been a Cat fan since late 90’s and first time I witnessed such an incident. One would think the league would take a dim view of this and I hope that player is sanctioned for his poor display.

Hopefully Cats send the tape to the league on the Barbashev spear by Ross Johnston

Hopefully Cats send the tape to the league on the Barbashev spear by Ross Johnston It wasn't much of a spear, Barbashev milked it.

I dont think any team in the league has as much history with fan interaction in Moncton as Charlottetown/PEI. Always seems to be 1-2 characters on their team every year that let the fans get the best of them.
The Islanders certainly lost control for a good 8 minute span there and it didn't look like Dwyer cared too much. After Johnston got back from his 6 minutes of penalties in whatever he was attempting to do to Barbashev he was right back out on the ice! Just no accountability at all out there.

Maritime Division champs! Woooo!
That was a pretty embarrassing meltdown from Charlottetown in the third period. Quite the display of bonehead penalty after bonehead penalty. They were literally tackling Cats players.

Probably a combination of things, they played pretty good early on but had no finish, then got in penality trouble, which is death against the Cats, that dded to the frustraion. a few of the calls were a bit soft, the slash on Garland where he had one hand on the stick and lost it was a bad call to me, but they definitely ran themselves out of the game,

What about the Fan? Where was security?

The Islanders will never be a threat with Dwyer behind the bench. I am still up in the air about season tickets for next year. If he is still here I definately am not renewing. how he made it past Christmas is beyond me.

I laughed.

I've witnessed Moncton fans throw beer at opposing teams as they are coming off the ice. Probably the same guy so he was just getting a taste of his own medicine.

Maybe back when beers were 4.50 but I have to break a 10 sheet at the coliseum for a beer nowadays, not a chance

Lirette couldn't throw a beer from his seat to the penalty box. Unless he has an arm like Henry Rulenfurter.
