Let's see if we can harness the power of the over under to propel the boys to a victory . You would like to think that the guys deserve a better fate than what they ended up with the other night . Moncton have arguably the best 1-2 punch in the Q and one of the better goalies to boot , so it will be a stiff test but not impossible by any means. Without a doubt the key cog in the wheel tonight will be.......Miggy Sullivan . So let's see what happens .

Need to pick up some points this weekend if we hope to play the 5th-6th place team instead of 3rd-4th placed team in the playoffs (which is a pretty big drop off in "upset potential")
Also widening the gap with Chicoutimi as we currently hold their 1st round pick (3rd overall right now) next year which I assume will be traded for help next year)
Hopefully the boys play a strong 60 minute effort.

Also widening the gap with Chicoutimi as we currently hold their 1st round pick (3rd overall right now) next year which I assume will be traded for help next year) Glad you mentioned that part. That draft pick situation is getting real interesting for both you guys as you hold Chicoutimi's pick, and also Saint John as they hold Drummondville's. Of further interest is that SJ got that Drummondville pick from you guys in the Leblanc deal. I would have to assume that our GM was given his choice of either your 1st rounder OR the Chicoutimi one you guys held OR the Drummondville one you guys held. Young got/chose Drummondville's (which admittedly I would have chose as well) but probably could have chose that Chicoutimi one instead. Thus if Chicoutimi ends up in that coin flip that means Young chose the wrong pick. It might just happen too. Chicoutimi has Victoriaville tonight which should be a winnable game but after that their last 6 games are all against tough opposition and they very well could go 0-6 to finish the year. You guys may indeed end up in that coin flip for the 1st overall pick after all.

To prevent me from having to search/look in other threads, can someone post a link to the video which has the incident in which Svechnikov was handed his suspension? High stick? 4 games? What did he do? Two hand chop a guys face?

I'm sure he'll hit 30. Same with Farrell. Too bad. He was up there. He had an outside shot at 50.

Not a good start to this one so far. 2-0 Cats early into the first.

Where is Smith? His last game if i recall correctly was when he suited up as the emergency back up goalie. What happened since then?

Nice goal by Farrel to make it 3-1.
Hopefully we can build off of that.

You can't win a game in the first ten minutes................but you sure can lose one .

On the plus side , there was some real good chemistry between Farrell and Anderson ........so they willl most likely be broke up .

If we had have played the first period the way we played the the second and third we may have won that game. Sullivan was left all alone in the first period, the guys in front of him came out sluggish and flat. Bishop seemed really frustrated tonight, took a really undiciplined penalty in the second and he was taking whacks at people all night. I wonder what the status of Brunelle is after taking that hard hit to the head in the third, he looked pretty bad going off. Would have been good to beat the Cats tonight but if you don't play a full 60min, it makes it pretty tough.
