Seems like LeBlanc is gonna be out long term, going to a specialist in Sydney when they get back home to evaluate.

Good first period. A few good chances. Macdonald looking good for the Islanders.
Farrel had a good first period with a few good chances. What speed he has.
They took a lot of penalties in that first frame we need to capitalize on some pp's.
We'll head into the 2nd with the man advantage.

Macsween ejected for a hit on Balmas. Was the right call. Dangerous hit after the whistle. No idea what he was thinking?
4 on 4 for 2 minutes then the Islanders go to a 3 min power play.

Absolute brutal give away by Lalonde.
You can NOT stick handle out of the zone like that and expect any different of a result.
Just brutal.
2-1 Islanders late in the 3rd. Goal by Rydstrome in his return.

Ross Johnson throws it into the empty net to make it 3-1. Nail in the coffin.
I really thought we were going to get our point at least. It's one thing if they score a deserving goal, but you can't give them it on a silver platter like Lalonde did. Ouch ouch ouch.
Over all thought I thought we gave a solid effort and put a lot of rubber on Macdonald who looked great tonight. As did Sullivan again.
Series split now back home next Friday and Saturday for the final 2 against Bathurst.

And we can't take bathurst lightly given how they played the last couple of games.
Too bad we couldn't have gotten three points at least. At least overall was a great effort

So now if we want to move up to the 11th seed from 13th...
We have to win both games against Bathrust (looks like they've been playing well lately but this should still not be very hard).
Halifax has to lose at least 2 of their 3 remaining games (Moncton x2, Saint John x1)
Rouyn-Norana also has to lose at least 2 of their 3 remaining games (Sherbrooke x2, Blainville x1)
We definitely have the easier schedule.
Worst case scenario we play Quebec in round 1, if we move up to 12th or 11th seed, we can play one of Val-d'Or, Baie Comeau, Shawinigan or Sherbrooke.
Personally I like our chances best against Sherbrooke / Val-d'Or (despite their hot streak, I think that was unsustainable)
