I would pick any of our #1 goalies before Roy left. I mean , Fleury over most but they had consistent goalies right up until 2010.
Even in 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 the 20 yo goalies Lacerte and Hayes worked well. I am a bit cloudy on those years as I did not care at all but I seem to remember them playing decent in front of a horrible team. If they were on this years team I feel we would have had a decent first half.

Stable goaltending would be nice after the last several seasons so I'd go with Fleury. If you wanted a solid defensive D with leadership my pick would be JP Cote. Skill up front is Sheppard easily. Unlike many of our top scorers like Culligan, Noel, Ouellet who were with us till their 20 yo season, we only had Sheppard till his 18yo season. What would you rather Cote, Cloutier or LeBlanc, Gosselin? Not too many Eagle fans going to turn down Cote and Cloutier. Only Sawyer and Bourdon came close to that duo. Ramholt and Pardy was pretty awesome too.

Cloutier was one of the best quarterbacks on the power play in his brief time here and Cote was a heart and soul D- man who never gave up on a play, even when it looked like he was beat on a play. I haven't seen enough of Leblanc to know just how good he is going to be. From what I read, Saint John fans thought highly on him so hopefully he is as good as they say. It's a big loss that he won't play again this year. What exactly is his injury?

I know this is not following the original guidelines but if we could have a 1 player do over, I would like to have James Sheppard back for his 19 year old season.

When I spoke with LeBlanc after the awards he was on crutches and a cast on his lower leg/foot. He said that he has a fractured fibula. It's not broken right throught just partially. Didn't sound good though.
