I don't think so ... I think he has to pass through 2 drafts before he can be invited anywhere. I dont know if that's the case... Joe Hicketts was passed on in this years draft and then signed a contract with the Red Wings in September. Really don't want to get into this in a series thread but Joe Hickets(Much like Tkachev before his contract was voided) was signed before the season. Completely different. Garland isn't eligible to sign with anyone. He'll be entered in the draft.

I'm sorry if I have caused problems I was just mentioning something that I was told at the awards banquet it was from someone very close to the team and garland. Maybe something was lost in the word of mouth ie. maybe Tampa Bay will invite him? Interesting though that nobody seems to know exactly what the rules are though I wonder if there is someplace to go to find this info?

Maybe something was lost in the word of mouth ie. maybe Tampa Bay will invite him? Interesting though that nobody seems to know exactly what the rules are though I wonder if there is someplace to go to find this info? www.nhl.com/nhl/en/v3/ext/CBA2012/NHL_NHLPA_2013_CBA.pdf"had played hockey in North America the prior season and was under age 20 at the time of the last Entry Draft, and signed an SPC which was signed and registered with the League between the conclusion of the Entry Draft and commencement of the Major Juniors season (except that if such Player had signed an NHL try-out form, which was signed and registered with the League during the aforesaid time period, then the deadline for signing and registering with the League an SPC with such try-out Club shall be the commencement of the NHL Season). " Basically, once the season started and he wasn't signed by anyone, he was just an NHL draft prospect. Anyways, back to the series. Jenner seems to think they can keep the momentum going from the 5 consecutive big crowds but looking online, still A LOT of good seats available.
