If I were you, I'd choose Victo, Chicoutimi and Cape Breton. But if you aren't in the contest, forget that.

Two teams that got their acts together at the right time and playing teams that maybe have not been as good. I think one of these will be an upset. Charlottetown/Sherbrooke is very interesting. Charlottetown is one of 4 Q teams to have a winning road record - home ice matters in the Q obviously more than others at playoff time. If Charlottetown wins I would not call it an upset 9 vs 8 but technically would be...still leaning with the Phoenix

Eagles have too many injuries otherwise they'd be a great upset pick. Hull over BLB isn't out of the question either. The Olympiques have been averaging just under 5 goals-per-game in their last 10 games with a record of 8-1-0-1 while the Armada have "struggled" as of late dropping 6 if their last 10. Since the current playoff format was adopted in 2011, there has always been one major upset in the first round. The 10th seed has upset the 7th seed twice; the 11th seed has upset the 6th seed twice; and the 13th seed has upset the 4th seed twice. In the last 20 years, the only years in which a lower seed did not defeat a higher seed in the first round were 2009, 2004, 1997 and 1996. Odds are one of Saint John, Rouyn-Noranda or Hull are going to advance to the quarterfinals.

Gatineau might though.

I think this is the best matchs up I have ever seen in the Q for the play offs. I think the only give mes are RIM over Victo and Mon over Chi. Ever other series I feel could go 6 games and can go either way really. I think it's looking to be the best playoffs this league has ever seen. All series could look to go at lest 5 to 6 round games. I know Moncton and Rimouski had great years but neither one to me are odds on favorites to win really. They are both very beatable teams in 7 game series. It really wouldn't surpise me to see neither one make it to the final. Then again it wouldn't surpise me to see them meet up there.

I echo this.. and some of the regional rivalries are making it more interesting Gat/Blb. Rou/VDO Nobody knows who between the top 2 will be in final if both even...could be 2 other teams.

Anybody hear about the logistics of the games at the Forum. Do the doors open at 6pm or are they opening them sooner because of the General Admission element. I am not looking forward to having to get there 2 hours before the game to get a half decent seat. Lets hope parking on the street is allowed by that time.

Pretty much any seat at the Forum will do, except the seats behind the poles!

Doubtful, probably sold out. But if there are any available I'd go to each game. Edit: I saw there is a limited amount available, so let's see.

This should be a winnable series. I think the moose are going to be the upset in this one. If we can get some secondary scoring and half decent goaltending it could be a short one. The third line has got to start producing though, still can Quinn just not as easily.

It's still Hull to me, dammit. Do you still call Charlottetown, Montreal? .....or Blainville, St. Johns? Difference is the team never moved. Hull is part of the Gatineau region. The arena is in Hull. It would be like changing the name of the Moncton Wildcats to the Westmorland County Wildcats. For most it would still be the Moncton Wildcats.
