Figured we could use a game thread separate from everyone overall series thoughts.
The big news coming into the game is Callum Booth gets the start in goal over high priced acquisition Zach Fucale. We know all about goaltending controversies entering the playoffs and how they can effect a series.
Sounds like Quebec is healthy while we should be missing Olivier Leblanc not only for tonights game but for the entire series.
Lots of attention on this series due to Quebec being the Mem Cup hosts. Some people are giving us no hope and going out in 4 or 5 while others are seeing our fire power giving us a shot at upsetting the Remparts. It was only in 2013 when Mem Cup host Saskatoon went out in round 1 so it's not something unheard of for the teams built for the 1 week tournament to fail to hit a higher gear come playoff time.
Going to go out on a limb and predict that the Eagles start the series off with a big 6-4 win in front of a big crowd tonight in Quebec.
Game time is 8:00pm with the pre game at 7:30 on 103.5 The Eagle.

I predicted the same score in my thread but we can use this one instead, guess 6-4 is the destiny tonight.
I feel like our 20's are going to be big tonight.

Game time is 8:00pm with the pre game at 7:30 on 103.5 The Eagle. Its actually better for the Eagles to be starting on the road in this one. And all the pressure is on Quebec to prove they deserve the wormhole to the Memorial Cup as hosts. I remember a Friday/Saturday in January in Quebec where Moncton and Charlottetown went into le Colisee on back to back nights and won squeakers. Despite what we may think all you need do is read the Quebec media and you will see they consider the Maritime Division weak. They always point out how many points Moncton racked up against an easy division (nothing new). The key is goaltending. The Eagles need to be better in net and stop the flurry of shots knowing QC will have twice as many PP as they will have and some may be 5 on 3s... The ghosts of last two playoffs ending early for Quebec and 3 if u go back to 2012 2nd round will be a good rallying point for Cape Breton. Bonne chance

Hoping Hinds and Anderson are good to go and the boys are ready to leave it all on the ice. We know Farrel is going to come to play. I hope the rest of the team gets up too.
Let's hope the Russians and the rest of our best players can be our best players!

Just gotta believe in themselves that they can get the job done.. Guessing belanger is starting so hope he has a good bounce back from his game against bathurst.. Show quebec what yas got boys and bring 2 wins back to the island! Also going to agree with above and say eagles 6-4!

I hope we get the same kind of officiating when we're at the C200 for us.

Remparts going back to the PP for the 4th time in the period. Brunelle made a good rush to the net but was a bit too aggressive and gets called for contact on Booth.

1-0 CB after 1. We can not keep parading to the box like that against the likes of Quebec's fire power.
Pretty intense, high tempo first period though.
Belanger looks solid thus far.

Geez, do you guys have any discipline? Least penalized team in the regular season according to the series overview thing I read earlier. Nice to get some depth scoring, but we need our big guns to show up, overall very successful period considering the whole having half of it on the penalty kill.

What a sick pass from Martineau down to Boucher to make it 2-0 CB.
