It's gameday! Game is scheduled for an 8PM Atlantic start but I would not be surprised to see it start later than that, much like the last time the Wildcats were forced to schedule a game late.
Speaking of that game, what a game it was. It ended up starting even later than the scheduled time by about 40 minutes or so and the place was PACKED for warmups which was pretty fun. The Huskies eventually won in double overtime and it made for a very late night at the rink.
The Wildcats had a 3-1 lead going into the 3rd period and this was the 3rd period scoring summary.
5. ROU - Gabriel Lévesque (2) (Philippe Cornet, Pier-Luc Giguère) 03:09
6. ROU - Sergey Ostapchuk (2) (Jordan Caron, Christophe Losier) (pp) 13:25
7. ROU - Jordan Caron (7) (Nicolas Deslauriers, Christophe Losier) 19:19
8. MON - Kelsey Tessier (8) (Mark Barberio, David Savard) 19:36
Let's hope a different result and maybe skip the overtime(s) this time.
Wildcats lead the series 1-0. The other 7 series have already had 2 games played.
Game 2 stats:
Home team is 6-1. Team who won game 1 is 2-5.
Dubeau out played Billia in game 1 and we will need that to continue. Hopefully Garland can take a few less shots this time but I'm not too concerned with him getting shadowed. He dealt very well with it, much better than Jaskin did 2 years ago.
Speaking of which, 2 years ago today, Yannick Jean eliminated Jaskin and the Wildcats. Happy anniversary!
I expect another pretty lackluster crowd but it is what it is.
Go Cats Go!

All the little cheap shots and jabs at Garland just seem to fire him up. We've seen it all year.
Any bets on what time this game actually starts?

Chicoutimi didn't show up for their 10AM morning skate at the 4plex. A little confident going into tonight's game.

A little confident going into tonight's game. i went to witness my first practice ever...didn't see no sense of urgency or anything like that . they all seemed loose and having fun. didn't look like they were worried about tonight's game...whenever it starts!

i heard yesterday that the sags went bowling after their practice. maybe they're practicing hitting something short lol.i thought they did a fairly good job of that in game 1 i seen that jean said in the newspaper that they have to be more disciplined . does that mean no cross check across the shoulders on conor, no boarding non call on conor in the corner in the 2nd period? or does that mean that conor doesn't skate back to the bench with a stick stuck in his shoulder pads? just wondering. and i thought that the Quebec refs made some brutal non calls!

I'd take Quebec refs over Langille, Maillet & co. any day.

That late game against Rouyn was a lot of fun aside from the result. Big crowd, fun atmosphere and I don't think too many people minded the late start. That was on a Friday of course.
Somehow I don't think a later than expected start is going to go over quite so well with a lot of people on a Sunday...

you forgot to mention Arsenault, or do you like his calls? I like Arsenault ... he is a veteran and is better than most. I'm not a fan of Piccott and Hopkins and a few other newer guys.

What event would be tearing down before the week-end?
