Christophe Lalonde & Vladimir Tkachev would be nice to have right about now.
Seems to me we're missing exactly what we gave up for peanuts at the Christmas break...

And to the remparts fan I think all minus can go to dubeau tonight. He just isn't himself past two games. Probably only a couple good goals out of the 13. Maybe 3 or 4

Ok honestly why did IT work from Christmas on and not now? Our first half of season wasn't that great. Second was.

A lot of blame to go around when you look that bad vs an inferior opponent...TWICE in a row and on home ice.
Rumble? Seems thrown off by separating Meier and Ehlers. Can't adjust PP to halifax playing a small, tight box cutting cross ice passes. Dubeau? Brassard has outplayed him...badly. Garland + Barbashev? Ehlers and Meier stole their lunch money and gave them each a wedgie Sweeney? Hardie is outplaying him badly. Burke? halifax's grinders have outplayed him
...I could add a few...you get the picture

Lalonde in his career has 3 goals in 33 games in the playoffs. No thanks. We can beat the moose with the players we have, it has nothing to do with the team on paper, Halifax is simply outplaying the Cats. The big swing that killed the game was Fortiers fifth goal after the cats failed to score on the PP. Could have been 4-3 but goes to 5-2 and the game seemed over from that point. I feel like I watched the same game 2 nights in a row. Halifax rarely sustains continuous pressure for minutes at a time, but they have been very efficient in scoring when they do. Incredibly frustrating to watch

Sorry but Halifax is a much better team this past two games and I don't think Cats are capable of going beyond this round. I thought they would come out tonight much stronger, they did in first period also after that 4.00 minor combined with another minor just letting in one goal, I also figured that would be a momentum swing for Cats. Guess not. Dubeau isn't sharp, defense breakdowns and Garland out way to much and being a floater. Halifax has the Cats number, they may take one game in Halifax but if I was to wager - it is four straight, unfortunately. It wouldn't surprise me if tonight's game is the last for the season...........

Their depth players are playing better than the Cats. Their stars are playing better than the Cats. Their goalie is playing better than the Cats. Their coach is coaching better than the Cats. The Cats have been a good road team all year long so I don't think this is necessarily over, but it sure looks pretty grim. Hard to comprehend how this is happening. I don't think even the most optimistic Moose fan (well except for one) would have predicted this. Wow

Maybe 3 or 4 Unfortunately, at least playoff wise, Dubeau is his old self, he is the quintessential playoff choke goalie. Right there on the podium with him is our defensive corp, they are not very good, combine that with Dubeau and you have a volatile mixture. I still believe that the Cats can come back, would I put money on it, no, but hope is not totally lost. This team does not look ready, the intensity is not there although a lot of it can be attributed to Dubeau's stellar play which would suck the life out of any team. We've been riding a one line team for quite awhile in a weak division, it's starting to catch up to them, each team will get progressively better in these playoffs at shutting down that line and at some point that will shut down the team, which maybe what is happening here.

The Cats lost the same way as game 1, Dubeau didn't step up with a much better game, the coaches did not make key adjutments to what Halifax did and that was home ice, you'd think getting matchups you want with a team like the Cats would be a big edge...but it's been far from that.

Goalies can win a game for you with great play or break your heart and spirit with soft goals...stop the damn puck.

Two observations that I made, 1) They can't beat the refs 2) You can't win only using 1 1/2 lines (Garland and Barb are a half line because they don't skate)
