Congrats I guess. Didn't deserve it based on the first half of this year. Better not act like that if he gets sent down to the AHL or he'll never get called up.

He had a great year, and got off to a slow start. Rather that holding some sort of grudge against him, maybe point the finger at your organization for A) why wasn't he performing here and b) giving him away.

You talk like this Organization didn;t do anything for him ! I agree we did give him away but that was a GM / Coach Ego Thing . Don;t lose sight of the fact that the kid apparently didn't show much gratitude to the Club that was responsible for him getting drafted and most likely a career in Pro Hockey .

Giving him away didn't affect his first half stats. And slow start is an understatement. One empty net goal before the trade deadline is terrible... If you're a great hockey player you work through whatever issues there are. I'm not saying our coach or organization didn't handle it right, but I think some blame is due to him beyond a slow start. Personally I don't care... We did better without him and have moved on. Wasn't just his situation that affected our first half. Hopefully he does well to earn his contact and NHL shot.

Good type luck to Darcy in his pro career. It didn't end well here and some of that rests with him but I firmly believe Dumont has to share the blame in that in the way he handled that situation. He seems to struggle with relationships with some of his players, mostly due to his my way or the highway type of thinking. That philosophy on coaching went out with the carburetors in gasoline engines, doesn't work anymore.
