Based on the ticket sales so far for the games, it doesn't appear there are many playoff Moosehead fans out there. Is Moncton a rival to the players? Maybe so, but it is very clear the fans don't give a shit!
Why is it you can pack the Scotiabank Centre for crappy regular season games, but can't pack Scotiabank Centre for playoff games vs. the "rival" of the team we cheer for?
What a joke!

Any idea what the racial/demographic breakdown is looking like?

Seems like I'm the only person puzzled by the slow sales.

Any idea what the racial/demographic breakdown is looking like? Probably will resemble Canada from 60 years ago.

Well lets turn that around -- the Coliseum is much smaller than Scotiabank Center. Wildcats fans have been starved for 2nd round action lately. They played game 1 and 2 on a Friday & Saturday night. They also knew they would be playing those games since before Easter against either Chalottetown or Halifax. Their star player was just named QMJHL MVP...they have a great chance to make the Memorial Cup ...but a few hundred Moose fans had choice of seats for those two games in Moncton and neither sold out. Friday had maybe 4000 fans.
Halifax has a big student population. These guys are in exams now. But still Halifax has a strong walk up crowd. They already know there will either be a game six on Sunday or a game three of the next round in 2 weeks. Tuesday night is not appointment hockey night by any stretch. Regular season is easier to sell but if this team gets to round 3 every seat will be pre-sold.
This I know...on Friday if there is a game 5 I will have pick if the litter if I have to drive up to Moncton to see it....u can't say that if there is a game 6 on Sunday - it will likely be full.

My Son goes to University and has exams on Tuesday and Wednesday evening and can`t make the games. I would wait until tomorrow night before I would make any comments about the attendance. I am talking about u Guru, who goes to all of the packed Rainmen games.

I am a Wildcat seasons ticket holder for the past eleven years, thanks for the vote of confidence (Memorial Cup) but that ain't gonna happen this year - not on, period and full stop. Your Mooseheads IMHO are the play-off sleeper team, with quality upfront punch and sharp defensive skills, we have to win at least two out of the three games on your ice and win here at home to even get to the deciding seventh game which is here in Moncton. That is quite a steep hill to climb considering how your Moose won the first two games with high scores. I think your team will be in the final for Presidents Cup.

When you could finally see single seats on ticketatlantic, there were quite a few lower bowl seats left...even on the sides. This was on Friday afternoon. It looked to me like a number of season ticket holders/15 pack holders didn't get playoff tickets. As far as I know, you had the option to get from Round 2 on (With all unused tickets going towards your season tickets for next year). Along with the reasons people mentioned above, people not re-upping for playoff packages could be another reason.
I think it'll be a lively crowd, and a decent one for a Tuesday night.

Not getting the full playoff package is normal for Moose STH. In 2013 it made sense to but it but STH can also get their tickets round by round as well if they do not mind dealing with the box office to do it. Even in 2013 the guy next to me still bought his round by round because and he did not wish to commit to 2014. If they were disenchanted with 12th place and the first round at the Forum then they may have waited until now. This years deal for the full pkg is great except this team should have been one and done. Dont forget the corporate STHs who rarely buy playoff packages because lets face it how do u budget for that? The date are TBA and you have no idea how many games you get. This is the same across the Q.

No so much during the playoffs. So the amount of people in the seats will be less on occasion. But the amount of tickets sold/purchased could be the same.
