Well... the bad news is we are losing. The good news is that this game is still winnable. Moncton started well, and have generally played much better than in game 1 and 2. A bit tighter overall, and the refs seem to want to call slight infractions if they have a chance, on both sides. Should be a fun third. You could say Moncton's season is on the line, but having witnessed a few 0-3 comeback in the past few years in sports, I know its not over until we win that 4th game Both sides ? ... Bahahahahahha Yup.

blaaah. Came close-ish but Moncton buckled down and made it tough to get many chances around the net. At least we still went head to head and had an even game with them, in a game they were desperate. Tomorrow's game is a biggie.

This has become a series. Good comeback to tie game at 3, but Moncton goes ahead again seconds later. You just hope this isn't a turning point in the series.
So, the Wildcats were bumped out of the Moncton Coliseum because they booked a car show...

Both sides ? ... Bahahahahahha Yup. You weren't watching the same game I watched ... we touch you we get a penalty ... you hack hook punch interfere/pick and no calls. I think you guys got called for every 5th infraction you did. That call on Bower was BS ... Meier should have got the same 4:00 for the hit on Malatesta ... and you can be sure that video will be sent in ... if Johnson can get 2 games for what he did then so should Meier. The punch to Garland's head well after the whistle should also be looked at. Should be interesting ... but there are clearly 2 different standards in this series.

What a stupid penalty by Taillefer
Just tie the game, controlling the play 5 on 5 and then take that dumb play.
Cost us the game.

The Cats buckled down and fought hard to get at least to a game five in front of all their fans at UNB?

Disagree, I saw TONS that got let go (Maletesta loves throwing late hits on guys without the puck and getting away without an interference call), a penalty shot called on a dive, and some of our calls were just finishing half hearted checks where Moncton guys were also turning back at the last second... but we won't agree, so no sense overanalyzing every call at this point. Some games we will see most body contact like that let go, and others it will be called. NOTHING was at the level of Johnson following a guy to the boards and shoving him headfirst from behind. Not even close. This is the Q though, so who knows what happens.

Close game, but from an entertainment standpoint the game was a giant turd. Neither team really tried to force the issue. I'm sure game 4 will have better flow to it.

(I honestly don't know). Knowing the Wildcats may be making a long playoff run, I thought they may have been able to work around the car show. But I don't live there; just an outside observation. The Aiken Centre only holds 3,000-4,000 seats; the Wildcats will lose a notable amount of money from lost ticket sales like the Mooseheads did when they had to move games to the Forum.

"Mayor George LeBlanc says new $107M downtown sports centre needed to avoid future scheduling conflicts" LOL. And they are at 60% capacity for this series?

Well over a weekend the car show probably draws 25,000 ... just a guess. But the City probably gets a bigger cut of that gate than they do for a Cats game. So tough to compare. The car show also brings much more into the City hotels and restaurants over the weekend. From a revenue standpoint ... the City needs both. Can't just cancel a huge event like that because of one game conflict.

What a stupid penalty by Taillefer Just tie the game, controlling the play 5 on 5 and then take that dumb play. Cost us the game. I've been against that "fight the guy that just hit your teammate" stance since day one. Yeah you might rally the troops for a shift. But we just scored to tie it, and we give Moncton the momentum back with the Powerplay. Klebanskyj didn't want to fight, nor should he have to. He did good to lay off and give it a bit so that he'd draw the instigator. (Nothing wrong with that). All in all though I'm happy with the effort tonight. Moncton came to play, and we showed that we can hang with them. We'll adjust to their power play (I hope). Unfortunately they listened to me and had all kinds of traffic in front of Brassard. That's how you beat a good goalie. We'll have to do a better job clearing the front of the net and letting Brassard see the puck. IMO the winner of the game tomorrow night wins the series. A Moncton win gives them home ice back, and all the momentum. A Halifax win swings it back in the Moose's direction, and gives them that much more confidence. Tonight was an eye opener that nothing is easy, and every win will have to be earned. Go Moose!!
