I can't get over how much the Mooseheads make the 2nd seeded team in the league look so bad. Out essentially the entire 2nd line tonight (Gadoury, Fortier and Watt) and they still take them to OT and nearly win it. Losing Gadoury was the turning point in the series. With 2 one goal losses he would have made a huge difference. While you can be disappointed by the loss you can't be disappointed with the effort Absolutely. An incredible effort out there. They were worn out and still gritting out scoring chances. Moynihan missed knocking the winner in by inches. No sense blaming anyone for mistakes. Both teams were tired and you knew it would be one slip up for the winner. Down 2-0 and shut them down the rest of the way. A second line...especially Gadoury...probably makes the difference. The lack of a veteran offensive D was an issue as we generated good point chances but could'nt hit the net on some of the best ones. Tough one to swallow given that effort.

Moncton finished the season as the no. 2 seed for a reason(s). Dubeau has played better the last 2 games than he did in the first 2 games in Moncton. The Wildcats are better on paper; have more depth than the Moose. The Mooseheads played fairly well, had chances, but couldn't capitalize on them.
This is now a best of 3 serieswith Moncton having the momentum, but will having to play a "home" game in Fredericton have a neagtive impact on them? I'm guessing not a whole lot.

At the whistle the puck is somewhere in Dubeau's gear but he isn't sure so tries to find it and it pops loose and rolls to the goal line. The whistle had gone long before it got to the goal line. Which is why I said I would like to see a reply. Just said from my angle in the rink it looked quick. I'm sure it looked different on TV. It was quick ... but at the whistle it was still in Dubeau's gear and the Ref couldn't see it ... but Dubeau didn't have it.

I'm more worried about playing at home ... we are 5-0 on the road so far ... lost our last 3 at home. Hopefuly playing in F'ton will feel like a road game.

Steve, will a lot of people travel to Freddy for the game?

I was disappointed because Dom had our top line out there but took them off with 4 minutes left in OT and then Moncton comes down and we play the keystone cops in our own end and they score. Hats off to the Moose because when it was 2-0 late in the 2nd and Moncton was playing pretty tight, I thought we were done. Very disappointing but it is crazy how well we are playing the 2nd place overall team. After our top line we are normally starved for offense and with missing Fortier and Gadoury we still gave it a good go. So no TV in Fredericton I am guessing. Looking forward to Friday.

Steve, will a lot of people travel to Freddy for the game? I doubt it ... 7:00 game time makes it tough to get there without taking time off work. I'm not going ... i'll be lucky to get back to Moncton by game time ... have to be in PEI most of the day.

Yes ... there will be tv in Fredericton according to Wildcats.

I'm sure a lot of Halifax fans would have made the trip to Moncton Friday, but not many would go to Freddy 'I'd say.

Nothing to be ashamed of boys, they didn't play their best in the first period tonight but they were much better than last night and came out flying, like I've told them stay out of the box. Second, was real scrambly seemed like we spent most of the second in our own end then Meier got us to within one, and Bent our unlikely source ties it. Third, Both teams had chances most of the crowd didn't like the quick whistle, but he is entitled to blowing it dead if he's lost sight of it. OT, Moose seemed hemmed in their own zone but had some real good looks on the PP, and a few glorious scoring chances, the best being Danny's right on the line right before they scored. (I hope Dom adresses what needs to be adressed for Fri night's game, and I hope Fortier, Gadoury, and Hunter are back soon.) Go Moose Go, Moose country still believes all we have to do is go to Fredericton and take home ice from them again. It boggles my mind that we are playing so tightly with the 2nd ranked team, I still believe we can win this series, have to wipe the slate clean and start over Fri.

What happened to Watt? I missed it. His speed and grit was missed as that game moved along. Also, not sure what's happened to Garland in particular, but he had no jump and hardly any noticeable puck possession tonight in particular. He (and his line) had awful moments early in the series but at least you noticed them offensively most of the games. Realized watching OT that #8 and #22 had hardly been a factor. Fatigue, or coaching decision?

Watt, got hit in the head at the beginning of the second I believe it was probably knocked him out with a concussion

Is it just me, or has Connor Moynihan just developed to a different level right before our eyes during the playoffs?

Well he's playing smarter and not taking the bonehead penalties he took against Shaw, I can't wait for Fri night Go Moose Go take home ice away from them again!

Watt, got hit in the head at the beginning of the second I believe it was probably knocked him out with a concussion Oh was he the guy when Moncton took the checking to the head penalty? For all the skill he has, Ehlers was a workhorse tonight. When everyone else looked to be dragging a piano as the game went on, he was still able to move the legs and generate chances even though you could see it in his face he was wiped. Meier too. I think for all the criticism euro's can tend to take at times when the going gets tough, those two have been playoff horses. Hoping we can get Gadoury, Fortier and Watt back for game 5... not sure on their status. I don't know how much more we can expect from the current squad.
