Agreed. It's the least Irving could do for those of us who paid our play off package, a good move for sure. I am heading over, be interesting to see how many Halifax fans will bother probably not a lot being close to a 4 hr drive.

Just saw that the game is sold out already. Kinda. A bunch of seats will probably go on sale tomorrow. I can't imagine all of the playoff package holders will be heading over and if you didn't get your ticket at the Cats office today they are releasing it to the public tomorrow. We already know SteveUL and his premium gas only vehicle won't be making the trip and I'm sure he's not the only one.

Obviously a really bad situation, but it should be a pretty fun atmosphere with all the hardcore fans sitting together and hopefully some of the locals get into it as well.

I was just called on a new assignment that will take me to Fredericton. I was supposed to be in PEI tomorrow but I may flip that to Monday and head to Fredericton. I don't mind going if somebody else is paying for my time and expenses (I was trying to get Ryan Jenner to pay). I drive a lot for my work ... 40,000 km per year on average. Got tired of wearing out new vehicles and killing the value after 3 years. So, I bought a higher quality vehicle (at less than $18,000), used, and will have put 160,000 km on it by July. It is an old 2005 BMW X3 3.0i ... a real pleasure to drive ... but it only takes premium gas. At the height of the price of gas in 2014, my personal best to fill the tank was $89. That doesn't matter when I get paid by the km to drive for work.

Just saw that the game is sold out already. I opted to buy tickets and leave my season tickets unused (for credit for next year), because I needed 1 more ticket for Friday than the number of season tickets I have. Purchased tickets at 12:05 (5 minutes after they went on-sale), selected "Choose Best Seats For Me" - and we're sitting in row A. The sad thing is I know full well there will be prime seats either empty or available tomorrow afternoon - but I didn't want to take the chance of waiting until tomorrow. But, whatever - the weather is nice and I haven't been to a game at the Aitken Center since my university days (a LONG time ago).

When I went to UNB, I use to go see the Moncton Golden Flames play in the Aitken Center. We also played intramural hockey there often. Its a good old rink. I can't remember for sure, but Row A may be great seats because I think the first row is elevated above ice level, like in Charlottetown. Depends on which section though. I haven't been there in 25 years so don't take my word for it.

AHL Moncton Hawks won game 7 in OT in Fredericton against the Canadians in 1992. Best road trip game I've ever been to. Of course we were selling stuff for ticket money but with gas under $0.50/l, no one ever worried about gas money, we could find what we needed for gas in the sofa.
