I disagree Reesor. Be a realist after the season is over, be it next week or a month from now. No time for that in the middle of the series, can only have a one-track mind where losing isn't being considered. That's how it is at the rink for me. My mindset is on winning. Almost give myself aneurysms sometimes. On here, it's fair and honest sports discussion regardless of the teams/players involved. At least I try most of the time. Pretty silly to think comments on here affects the players. They probably barely had time to take a dump let alone think they read this board. I remember someone asked, cant remember who but a team member, if they read Moosetalk and they said whats that lol. Their heads are in the game or other personnel stuff.

Can't see how the Moosseheads can win another game with their current lineup. Ehlers/Meier/Moynihan/Hardie have gotta be gassed. No matter what happens this has been an excellent run. Zero expectations is kind of a nice position to be in, pressure is on Moncton. I say Cats win big tonight, 7-1

Its already amazing that they were even in the last two games. Some of the healthy Moose players are just in a league of their own.

All the pressure is on Moncton..
On Sunday there are 4 possible realities the average Moose fan with tickets can expect
A) the Moose get eliminated and get a big ovation at the end on a great fight 50% chance B) the Moose string the second of two wins in a row together finally a home win and series win 5% chance C) Halifax staves off elimination force game 7 - maybe Gads or Fortier back - 20% chance D) Moncton staves off elimination force game 7 --- 25% chance
Of these options 75% of them end with Moncton probably winning the series Only 25% chance Halifax wins the series and only 5% chance they do so Sunday

While I have always respected McSwain's knowledge, I don't think now is the time for him to share that point of view. Wait until the Mooseheads playoffs are over (whenever that is).

Some of the big guns are not at the top of their game so far.

That's a very AHL thread title. I still remember when the Nova Scotia Voyageurs won a game 7 in the Aiken Centre against the Fredericton Express in the 1983-1984 season(6-3 was the final score). It was the last playoff series the Voyageurs won before the team was moved to Sherbrooke, Quebec. As for this game, it's not looking good so far, but we've seen a number of times the Moose get back into the game when it looks like they'll get blown out. Not quite writing this one off, errr...yet.

Pretty terrible period... we look like we came out of the gate sleepy, Ehlers and all. Mishandling easy pucks leading to unforced turnovers, leaving guys open in the slot area for shots (we had been really good at preventing that until now). Right now Moncton have all the energy, hopefully the 2nd period will see us pick it up because we look exhausted and sloppy. It will be a tough one to come back in if we don't keep the 2nd close or gain ground. Hard to watch a bunch of guys who are not offensive guys, try and generate offense.
If it keeps going like this, we will need to try and rest the big guns and Brassard in the third and focus on game 6. Its great that no matter what happens tonight, we still have another big home game on Sunday.
Hoping for a better second!
