Fun atmosphere at Atkin Centre, big crowd who were into this game. Halifax became unglued third period and started to look quite silly running at our guys, glad Ehlers was a non-factor. Momentum taken right out of Mooseheads which in my view isn't recoverable. Our bus broke down just outside Moncton transmission issue, we pulled into Bigstop to wait for a replacement from Sussex which was a half an hour arriving, there were a few tense minutes in which we didn't know if we were gonna get there. But all worked out. hats off to Irving for arrangements and Booster club volunteers for their organization on short notice. WELL DONE!!!!!! The two scrums in the last minute were entirely Moncton's doing. Malatesta throwing a giant hit at our rookie callup in a 7-3 game in the last minute? And the final scrum, the moose guys were basically standing there waiting for the clock to run off, and the moncton guy was going off with crosschecks on our guy by the boards causing the moose guys to pile in to stop him. That's an uphill battle to argue when Halifax has Vuic and Bent out in the final minute...

Vuic was almost involved in the tying goal when Ehlers elected to pass rather than shoot. Vuic played a decent game and kept his nose clean until the last shift.

The top line hadnt played since 6-3... we dont have our usual 2nd line. Those guys will play. Regardless, nothing really happened until the last minute, when Vuic went after Malatesta for that unneccesary hit, and bent/moynihan went after the guy aggressively working our guy over during the final 10 seconds. Its not a big deal, I'm just pointing out that it wasnt the moose being classless or starting it all at the end of the game as some said.

If youre going to bitch and complain about who started it please get your facts straight. The Malatesta hit was entirely clean and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. Whether hes a callup or not, hes playing in a Q playoff game so time to put on his big boy pants. Vuic was out there looking for a fight and everyone knew it. He threw Malatesta into a headlock and our 2 guys stepped in because frankly, Vuics a f***ing beast. As for the final scrum, Tibbo did exactly what he should have with just over 10 seconds remaining by holding the puck against the boards. Then 3 of the 4 Halifax skaters skated up to hold him there which there is no problem with but when i believe it was Moynihan starts throwing multiple crosschecks at his neck/head thats when Bower and Klebanskyj stepped in. I was sitting 3 rows back of this scrum so im pretty sure id know what was going on. What happened after may have been Monctons fault but if youre going to bitch and complain and try to find an excuse or pin something on who started what please get your facts straight

I'm explaining what happened. If you think Maletesta throwing a big hit on a rookie callup in the last minute of a 7-3 game would not draw a reaction from the losing team...you havent watched much hockey. So the clock ticks down and the moose are content to hold the puck/play along the boards, but your guy decides to go crosscheck happy and draws an appropriate reaction...and its our fault again? Is it THAT hard to just say your players fanned the fire in the last minute while up by 4?

The only reason something happend was because Vuic was on the ice, none of your other players reacted to the hit, Vuic was just trying to fuel his hard on for fighting 4. I dont where you saw us starting the cross checks? Bower threw one after 4 were laid high on Tibbo 5. That was not fanning the fire, Johnson mocking Ehlers diving would be considered fanning the fire, but neither of these no

They wanted to draw the Moosehead players into something which may cause suspensions so they would be even more depleted by Sunday. The unnecessary hit on the call up player started it.

So Maletesta should be able to do what he wants, but Vuic ruined his fun? 4. The last ten seconds, it was clear Bower(?) was being overly aggressive with crosschecking 5. Yes they were.

Come on LOL That's a reach if I've ever seen one... Bottom line is if Vuic and Bent weren't on the ice in the final minute , none of us would be discussing this right now.

It's like if a baseball player stood and admired his homerun off a rookie reliever, which made it 12-0. Or stealing bags in a 12-0 game. Throwing big hits on rookies (especially) in the last minute will (and should) always get a reaction from the pissed off, losing team. This is the way it always is.

A rookie through a hit on a rookie. You'll need to explain yourself a little more to make me understand.
