This is it. Season on the line. Facing elimination for the first time this season. This is Moncton's 3rd ever game 7 with both of them coming at the Coliseum. In 2000 they made a thrilling 3rd period comeback to beat Quebec and in 2007 they lost a heartbreaker in Double OT to Halifax. The Mooseheads have played a ton of game 7s. They were eliminated in a game 7 last season against Val d'Or and won game 7 in Shawinigan in round 1 this season. If the Wildcats win, they would face the Remparts with the Oceanic taking on the winner of the Drakkar-Foreurs series. The Wildcats are going to need Dubeau, Sweeney and Tassi to step up, play like they can and hopefully not let goons like Vuic dance through them to give Halifax a lead and a ton of momentum. Garland and Barbashev are going to have to keep their cool and play their game. The Cats need them to be clicking to compete with Ehlers and co. A lot of Mooseheads fans are coming down to the game, lots of good tickets still available to hopefully Moncton comes out to support what could be the last game of the season. Go Cats Go!

A lot of it is on Dubeau...he's had games where he played like a top 5 goalie and others where he's looked like a bad Jr.B goalie...he needs to bring his A game tonight. Cats have the better team on paper but too many games this series some of the best players have been invisible while others they have looked great.

Might have to move the game to Fredericton again.
Moncton Wildcats 4 mins · Power outage at Coliseum due to a truck hitting a power pole.

I agree(Dubeau) as he does let the occasional squeaker by - over the shoulder drop, slow dribble between pads and the like. A couple of bad ones like that say early in first period and it puts a strain on the forward line to try and be a little to creative which may not work. It has the makings of a fine game as one team will move on and the other will clean out their lockers till next season.

In the newspapers in Quebec this morning, it says if there's a Moncton-Quebec series, it might start on Thursday because of rink availabilities. It would mean only one day of rest for the Wilcats.

Nothing scheduled at the Coliseum on Friday that I can see ... not even a Wildcats game. There is a cheerleading competition there on Saturday ... but that will probably run through the day. The power is apparently out over their right now due to vehicle taking down a pole in the area.

Anyway, the Cats need to win tonight before worrying about that.

Power is back on but neither team was able to get their morning skate in.

No sense putting the cart ahead of the horse ... Cats need to win first. That said, regardless of their opponent - who says Quebec's home game needs to be played at the Colisee? If the building is not available, move the game. Surely there is another rink within a 2 hour radius that they could play out of - much like the Cats were forced to Fredericton last week.
