and to boot out of all this at least I get to listen the Ray Cloutier call the games for this series. Cause just started listening to the Cats guy recently first time in a long time and man...makes me miss and appreciate the pxp guys we had before...just my rant to add to the ridiculousness that goes on here from time to time.... I miss some of the former play by play guys like Dan Robertson, even Les with his interviews... you know who I don't miss? The Romper Room play by play guy we had a few years back with the constant whining about the officials... was it Tony from the Valley they'd always put on the air?

Remember that arena conflict? Well the event was cancelled. fondationnordiques.com/gala/So basically the Cats could have started tonight giving them much more rest and a better crowd. I wonder if the league will consider changing the games to Tuesday/Wednesday and moving tomorrow's game to 7pm? Probably too late for the latter.

What kind of event needs 56 hours to prepare?! They could have started right after the game on Tuesday but he said it wasn't enough. Now he's saying Quebec athletes won't have their money beause of this.

Funny thing about that guy is the only other time I ever heard of him is when I was making fun of him for being a necessary part of the unveiling of the Team Canada Olympic Roster.

Sounds to me like there were other problems and the Q is being used as a scapegoat.

The Remparts gamed us and the Q ... so Moncton would have to start with little rest.
File a protest !! Write a strongly worded letter !!

There's your problem... he just wanted to remember how it feels to force something out of the Colisee. EDIT - If he's giving a speech beforehand, I can understand the need for 56 hours to prepare.

There appears to be a double standard ? If the League would have allowed the Wildcats -Mooseheads to start on Thursday like they just did with this series , then game 2 would have been on Saturday , with 3 & 4 on Monday and Tuesday in Halifax , then game 5 returns to the Coliseum ( Car Show offered to give up Thursday ) on Thursday , 6 on Sunday in Haifax and 7 on Tuesday at the Coliseum . If the League treated Moncton the same way they treat Quebec , then Game 5 is in Moncton at the Coliseum ! And the Citizens are not out $125,000 ! May I submit further evidence of this double standard that occurred in the second round as well . Quebec was also allowed to move a game because of a conflict . Game 2 against Charlottetown was pushed to Sunday instead of Saturday when all the other Series played because of the Harlem Globetrotters played on Saturday afternoon . This action meant that both Teams only had one day to travel to Charlottetown to play game 3 on Tuesday . Moncton Wildcats , their fans and the Citizens of Moncton are all victims of this blatant double-standard that currently exists in the QMJHL .

The league jumps through hopps every time the WC make the playoffs and usually the games are still at the Coliseum...conspiracy theories are weak. Beat Halifax in 5 and you have a week of rest, very simple.

We couldn't have beat them in 5. Do the math.

Cats should not have lollygagged and gotten their asses handed to them the first 2 games by a combined 13-6 score if they were serious about making a long playoff run...again...playing the vicim.

THat's like saying the Habs should have won in 4. They were first in their division facing a team that made the playoffs on the last day. They've been lollygagging the last 2 games. (I'm sure you're going to defend your precious perfect Habs). Games are played on the ice. Maybe they thought like you, that it would be easy. The Cats are your new Maple Leafs/Bruins where everything they do is wrong.

Like Dubeau had off nights in Games 1, 2 and 6. But that doesn't suit your argument The thing is when the Cats had arena issues, they made arrangements and it was never to their advantage. This time Quebec had arena issues and the arrangements made clearly benefit them.
