They cancelled the event at the Colisée Pepsi so the arena is available all week. Rumble won't be happy! Rumble should be pissed at his team for turning what should have been a 5 game series into a 7 game one against Halifax. The Cats are far from the victim, you go 7 games, don't expect a week off.

Not a week but 3 days like every other series that goes 7 games.

Again it's due to building...Halifax had to go to Fredericton for game 5, don't think Ducharme freaked out at the media after they lost... Cats are not in a position to blame anybody for building issues, usually they happen here as often as anywhere else.

What we are saying (some of us) is that the league should have held them to the same standard for finding a solution. the Cats had a building issue and they found a solution. A solution that meant a smaller venue and a little bit more travel. The Remparts had and issue and they could have used the 5000 seat Petit Colisee next to the main Colisee. 5000 is more than enough for a Q game. How solid was this event at the Colisee if 5 days from the start it is cancelled? Hello, you don't think the fix is on? 3 days ago they couldn't have made the decision to pull the plug in it??

You seriously can not compare the two situations. Quebec did everything up front and by the book. If Moncton could have worked around the speed show they would have. But they were actually double booked - to the point that the city paid $125K in restitution to fix it. Moncton found out they had this issue after they had agreed to the series dates with the league which is totally questionabke ethics. So they agreed to a game 5 without being really sure if they could play it in Moncton or anywhere. will remember in round one they had to rush game 1 vs Chicoutimi and then keep the Sags waiting until Sunday night for game 2 and this plan was ironed out at last minute but enough time for a league that schedules playoffs on the fly. Quebec did nothing wrong here. Their building had a commitment. They worked around it the best they could in effort to keep a 2-2-1-1-1 format in place. That their other conflicting event decided to walk away after the fact is of no interest after the schedule is made. The Remparts given the tight schedule time had all their cards on the table....and they worked a way to play the game in their usual rink. I have no idea what Moncton puts on the table when the league calls them - They were far from on top of things in that speed sport conflict which they must have thought would just move out for them..but later found out it wouldn't.

It compares more to games 1 and 2 where the Cats played Thursday in round 2, than game 5 where they had no building avilable. The colisee was available so they tweaked the schedule by one day. Cats and their fans should not be playing victim here...the shoe is often on the other foot.

The only real victims are the Moncton taxpayers footing an extra $125K in round 2 for something everyone could have avoided.
