Nice article but so small you can't read it... My optometrist's office is on Elmwood Drive. I can see about getting you in for a consultation if you're interested. My eyes are fine, the article comes in small and blurry. Tried to click on it and you can't "open" it up.

If you right click, view image and left click it should expand. Or use an Ipad or Windows 8 with a touch screen.

Any news for the draft? It's really quiet for the time of year... Really no different than last year looking back. There was a grand total of 0 posts between May 13th and 31st.

I hope they use their first few picks on Canadians since they likely can get those Americans a bit deeper in the draft especially since you can draft 99s for the whole draft this time. Saying that, I wouldn't be surprised if they use a third rounder on an American and you can't complain if they get him to report. Looking at who is available for the 17th pick, if Hoyt is there I can't see them passing on him but he may go to one of the other maritime teams earlier. Cyr may be an option as well but his size likely makes him fall. They could also take someone out of left field like last year with Corson. I personally hope they take a defenceman in the first round. Charlebois would be an interesting choice, big and was thought to be a top prospect before the year but apparently struggled a bit early but improved throughout the year. Hopefully they can get some guys from last draft to report this year too.

Peyton Hoyt would be nice, but he's only a Wildcat if Roger Shannon trades up. I'm hoping for Anthony Poulin.

They definitely need an infusion of talent, other than the "NCAA" guys there are no high end upside players not playing with the team. Corson at this point, 3rd line on a contender would be best case scenario, hope he proves me wrong. In terms of the kids already on the roster, Murphy has upside but needs to improve his work habits/conditioning. Askew has 1st line skill, just not convinced that he wants to be a 1st liner. Leger has top 6 ability, needs a bit more consistency. Jacob has the talent but is tiny, will need to get stronger. On defense other than Tesink and Holwell, McInnis and Krys will need to show or it gets pretty thin. In nets there is no real blue chip behind Dubeau.

I think John Moore interviewed a scout recently and he thought he was a late first - early second pick which surprised me. Being able to see a teams board would definitely be interesting especially considering the players are all in different leagues. I think we saw some of Charlottetown's board last year in their draft videos.

I hope we use the first three picks on Canadian kids unless there's a superstar that will report and another team is known to be interested. I have no problem whatsoever , actually would be happy, if we gambled on the bottom 6 picks. At that point in the draft, you're very lucky if you can get a player that can even play a regular season major junior game. I don't see a point in taking kids , who's ceiling is a #7 defenseman or 14th forward. I'd rather roll the dice on American kids , who if they report, can be effective players.

By being able to take 15 year olds for the whole draft, it allows you to take risks later on, guys maybe in Midged Espoir with talent who are somewhat raw, sometimes they will make a big leap from 15 to 16.

Of course if there's a targeted player there that slip through , I just mean as a game plan as a whole. I just see no point in drafting Canadian kids , who's ceiling are fringe major junior players, when we have a chance of landing an effective / star player if they report. I'd rather rather land a star player 1 our of 6 times , than land jr.a calibre players 6 out of 6 times. I liked they're move last season , hope it continues but I do agree our top picks should be used on Canadian kids unless it's a guaranteed American who'll report.
