Charelbois and Flower will fight it out on D for a 16yo spot and Durandeau is a given as a 16 yo F and Ben Higgins has a great shot - its him or Joel Bishop for the other 16 Flower has to be the favourite ahead of Charlebois at this stage, he just won the U17 minicamp that took the top 110 16yo in Canada and split them into 6 teams. Charlebois was not invited to the camp.

Just read on another board that Worthen asked to be released and is trying to make Moncton's squad......anyone know if this is true?

Players have done it to play with the Moose. David Brine and Robbie Sotherland's twin brother (I forget his name). Did it. They ended up having to give a draft pick for Brine.

So correct me if my math is wrong: Not reporting or not invited to camp: 2015 draft: 7 #116 Halifax Mooseheads Shawn Kennedy (F) 14 #242 Halifax Mooseheads Matthew Fawcett (F) (American) Import: 2 #79 Halifax Mooseheads Joachim Blichfeld (RW/LW) 2014 draft: 3 #56 Halifax Mooseheads John Marino (D) (American) 3 #57 Halifax Mooseheads Barrett Dachyshyn (C) 8 #134 Halifax Mooseheads Cédric Lévesque (LW) (No stats last year, quit hockey?) 13 #236 Halifax Mooseheads Gabriel Morin (RW) (Played in the QCHL last year, which is a Quebec college hockey league) 14 #254 Halifax Mooseheads William Gonthier (D) (3 points in 44 games last year in Quebec Jr. AAA) Free Agent Invites: Drew Packman (F) www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=194202Blake Fudge (F) www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=271983It'd be something now if Cooper Jones finds his way onto the roster. I assume we'll have to guarantee him a sport in the top 6 dmen within 48 hours of him reporting to camp. So unless he steals the show, he might not stick around. Players not reporting can get annoying. But it happens to every team. And it could be much worse (Ask the Eagles). I really think Cooper coming to camp is a big deal. A kid this size from the states usually always go the NCAA route. I think he's a player to really keep any eye on at CHP. I think if he is here after the 48hr mark you can pencil him into the opening day roster.

Yeah I remember looking at his stats alone and saying wow. Not the biggest guy, but I am hoping he stays and turns out to be a great pick.

All our returning D shoot Left. (I'm not including Donaghey in this.)

And unless there are variables we aren't think of (of course there are on many occasions), it's pretty black and white. He wouldn't give up NCAA eligibility without a guaranteed roster spot. And you'd have to think Dachyshyn is in the same situation. 48 hours.... guarenteed roster spot or he leaves.

With Dachyshyn showing at camp is less of a sign, really makes no sense for him NOT to go to camp since he's right in town anyway. Obviously a plus for Hfx if he stays.

The thing to watch for is if he plays in any preseason games. He didn't even play in the inter squad games last year. If he plays in them I think it's a sign. If he plays in any preseason against another team he forfeits his NCAA eligibility. But he can come and practice with the team all he wants.
