"David Schlemko participated in the morning skate, but did not make the trip. Hynes said he’ll have to make a decision from the seven D that traveled." I don't think Sweeney played!

Garrett Johnston traded to Chicoutimi for a 4th round pick. This must mean they know Sweeney is on his way back. I hope that is what it means, if Guay moves up the depth chart I may cry. He should already be waived or off team and Tesink and Bornstein should be rotating. Our defense is too old for the average skill it has shown last two games. If we are gonna see the mitakea anyway might as well be young guys learning.

Compared to our other guys he didn't look that bad in the last two games. I will agree that Rumble has a lot of work to do with the defence overall.

You clearly don't get marketing. If your own newspaper says you're going to lose, that's not gonna sell tickets for the wildcats. They want the fans believing in them that they will win every game. Winning = Ticket Sales. (Majority of the time) lol. I know the Cats and paper are both Irving owned, but this year it's way over the top. A buddy of mine who never even goes to games asked my why the Transcript/Wildcats are so obsessed with those Klimas. The sad thing is, if they play well and put up 40-50 points, most fans will be disappointed due to all the cheap hype. Not to single you out these posts are kind of interesting to go back and read. So many people all up in arms about the Klima hype and this weekend was their coming out party that they can be first line players in this league. I doubt many are disappointed with the cheap hype at this point. Have to give a ton of credit to Shannon for finding these guys, they are one one of the biggest reasons the Cats are heavily outperforming the predictions on this board. Kevin currently on pace for ~ 76 pts (30 goals) Kelly currently on pace for ~ 60pts (34 goals) Finding 2 30 goal scorers without spending a single asset is terrific and these guys could play 3 seasons.

My issue was not with getting them or the players themselves, it was all the hyping in the papers before they proved anything in major junior. You put the kids in a tough spot, sort of like that Kabanov nickname campaign, let the guy become a star, then you break out the trumpets...what if they struggled and were just 40-50 point players? Everybody would be disappointed and shit on them based on what the front office said in the summer...

Kelly looked terrible on the winning goal yesterday. What a bum!
In all seriousness though what a great find. Absolutely mind boggling that they didn't put up points in the NAHL last season. Did they just not get any ice time?
Whether the hype was a bit much or not, they've certainly justified it with their play on the ice.
