No idea what to expect. For one, I haven't seen a lick of pre-season and have no idea how good we might be. But mostly, both teams are missing key guys, and PEI have a new coach that nobody knows well yet. And every year, I look forward to September hockey, but every year, the hockey product we watch early on is scrambly at best.
As for the moose, its shaping up to be a pretty miserable season but as long as the young guys get key icetime and get better, its all we can hope for. Meier is a great player but he won't duplicate his numbers from last year without Ehlers. The common talking point with Ducharme's teams over the years is how they try and get better and better every game so that by years end, they are all on the same page, and it tends to play out that way given our past. If Meier/Donaghey is traded though, it will be a whole season of growing pains.
Looking forward to seeing the 16's and 17's improve, and seeing how well the defense core can step up after being mostly rookies last year.

Was it just me or did Nauss struggle a lot tonight I thought Nauss was fine other than when he got knocked the fuck over by Cooper. Also thought Flower was really good and Taillifer was a disaster tonight.

I remember last year the guy in front of me would turn to me after almost every goal against and yell "11 AND 9 AGAIN" and sure enough, it was Nauss and Taillifer. Tonight it was 26 and 9 out there for all 3 goals against. There's a common denominator here.

Ugh don't like that guy already...spending the game waiting for 3rd pairing rookie D to be on the ice for a goal against so he can make a big deal about it. Somebody will be on the ice for goals against more than others and its usually going to be your worst defense...its why they arent considered top 4 guys. Does he turn and point out all the times they make a good play to break up a scoring chance or block a shot? Nevermind, I know the answer...

Yup and they influence people, the ones who cant form their own opinion, to hate his whipping boy.
