Figured I'd start the thread.
Hopefully the Mooseheads can bounce back form the loss last night against a depleted Dogs roster.
Not looking forward to another game-opening ceremony.

Excited to see Veleno and Felixon in action. It's a bit weird seeing Jordan King in blue haha.

Putintsev is going to be a good one.

Putintsev is going to be a good one. He is, but he had a couple turnovers tonight along the boards that lead to SJ goals. He's gotta learn to put the puck down the boards and not back towards his own net. I think Flower showed this weekend he deserved to make this team for sure. He was our best blueliner this weekend I think. We gotta cut down on the defensive zone giveaways and clean up the breakout a bit.

Danny Moynihan was probably the best Moosehead overall tonight - but likely should be many nights.
Of the young guys, Somppi and Fortier showed signs of ability to grow into real offensive threats soon.
On D, I thought Flowers and Argento showed a few good signs. I didn't notice the other D (which I often argue is a good thing for defensive defencemen).
Connor Moynihan was just OK. He seemed half a step slow on a few occasions.
I was not happy with Kelly Bent. I know his job is to be an agitator. However, he really just took cheap shots at the rookies and small guys, while staying away from anyone his size or bigger. He didn't do much after Sam Dove-McFalls hammered him into the boards and Dawson Theede skated up to him and called him a f'n joke.

He didn't do much after Sam Dove-McFalls stepped up and hammered him into the boards and Dawson Theede skated up to him and called him a f'n joke. I wouldn't necessarily call driving someone from behind into the boards "stepping up".

Removed "stepped up". Also, the hit was not from behind.

Any team that has Bent as an over ager is probably going to struggle. The guy was always a vary dirty player.

Thought Argento was out for 2 games? They must have let him serve them during the preseason, I am guessing since the offense was in preseason. Not totally sure.

He was very effective in that role. He plays a physical shift disturbing style. It is the trashy part of his game that he needs to adjust. Sent from my SM-G925W8 using proboards

Sent from my SM-G925W8 using proboards I agree, as long as he doesn't cross too many lines, he can be a very effective player - a guy who can show the young guys how to play without being intimidated as he gets involved in everything. It is a fine line though, and being on a team that is likely to lose quite often this year, he may stir up emotion at the wrong time from time to time. Guys like him always seem to be a good compliment to a 3rd/4th line when your real talent carries the load up top. But his agitating style can also be a negative if he doesn't recognize when an emotional lift is needed and when it is not.
