Yup pretty stupid to have all those Saturday afternoon games in my opinion. From a business standpoint it doesn't seem that way. Afternoon games on the weekend were the most heavily attended games last season. They certainly aren't catering to me as a single seat season ticket holder with no kids but I understand that its hard to argue with the financial part of the decision. I will be able to go to the games either way, Saturday afternoons throughout the winter aren't busy for me, I just prefer an evening start. I'm sure if enough people agree with you and stay home they will change it back or at least not make it so afternoon heavy. I guess I liken it to a golf course that caters to its green fee players more than its members. They make more money off the 4 guys that show up and pay 45 bucks plus beer/carts than someone who pays 800 dollars for a membership and plays 50 rounds and doesn't buy any beer/food.

I think it's an experiment and could go either way. I think you'll see more families out, most of those will be single ticket or flex ticket buyers. I think overall attendance will go up a bit. The question is, will they piss off season ticket holders, a lot of whom prefer 7pm games. If you lose 5-10% of those then that offsets your gains in single tickets. Ultimately your season ticket holders are your best assets, because they guarantee that revenue BEFORE the season, regardless of the quality of play, weather or any other commitments that may come up.

I agree. My concern(as 12 yr. season ticket holders) is these early Sat afternoon games will be a sort of” carnival” atmosphere which is the current direction in my opinion. We much prefer the Sat 7.00 game schedule, however since our tickets for this season are bought and paid for going to give it a try. In discussions with other season’s holders, I get the view most do prefer the evening format. I hope this is just on an experimental basis and for us personally we are going to assess next year if this afternoon format is adopted on a long term plan

I had Mr. Jenner move my seat slightly to hopefully get away from the screaming and kicking kids that always seem to be directly behind me on afternoon games. I'll give it one year and then will decide if I will continue to be a STH.

If you prefer less people and a quieter game you should probably consider watching from the comfort of your home.

If you prefer less people and a quieter game you should probably consider watching from the comfort of your home. Nope ... I love a big crowd. I dislike it when the parents bring their young kids who don't care about the game ... pump them full of sugar .... and ignore them while they whine, scream (not at the play) kick my seat and get their sticky hands on me. I've had drinks spilled on me ... was coughed on in excess of 50 times one game ... hit in the head countless times by the thunder sticks. ... and so on ... and so on. I usually avoid the Timbit weekend because I come out of there with a headache. Sometimes I'll have a young family sit behind me and the parents are very attentive to their kids. They still get a little out of line ... but the parents quickly squelch it. I appreciate that ... I know kids will be kids and accept that ... but just want parents to realize that their kids are ruining the enjoyment of others.

Not only the parents of the kids, but the Wildcat management should realize the kids running around, ruin the enjoyment of game.

For the Wildcats, the enjoyment of the game for the average to hardcore viewer is secondary to drawing in as many "younger" fans as possible as that is where they make their money in concessions and merchandise, and their greatest profit, the more chaos the more parents tend to buy to try and appease their children, it's a gold mine.

as long as Rogers is broadcasting home games, guess I will watch the games from the comfort of my home.

Just the ones that sit right behind me.

If you prefer less people and a quieter game you should probably consider watching from the comfort of your home. Or in Bathurst Moncton/Halifax/Charlottetown have morgue atmosphere compared to Bathurst even when the rink is half empty... Come and try it by my seat and you will run for your life after 5 minutes. If the Titan can draw anywhere above 2,000 fans, they got the rowdiest rink in the Maritimes.
