At the 2015 draft, we dealt a few 1sts and traded a few high picks around. Ultimately we dealt the 21st overall pick (2nd) in 2015, to Victoriaville, for their 1st in 2016.
Victoriaville is sitting in 15th overall today and so their 1st in 2016 is in line to be 4th overall today. It is obviously very early in the year to peg them as a bottom feeder yet. Unfortunately they play in a very weak division this year and so they should be able to collect a few more points and a few more wins than if they played in a stronger division.
However, it will be interesting to watch where they are in the standings from time to time. Who knows, maybe we'll get into a position like SJ did to be in a coin flip.
I don't follow the entire league as close as I use to (more focused on our division) and so I have no idea where Victoriaville is projected to finish.
Do they have any solid 19 YOs that might be moved out for youth at Xmas, causing them to be weaker after Xmas ?
My main interest is that there may be a few exceptional players admitted to the draft next year, and we could be in line to grab one.

Samuel Blais and Gabriel Gagne would be 2 highly coveted rentals. Both first line players who are NHL drafted and likely gone next year.
defenseman Tristan Pomerleau as well could be an option to be traded but I believe hes been their captain since he was 17.
I'm guessing they will want to rebuild around Comtois ('99), Laberge ('98) and their young defenseman Beck ('98). and Hout ('98). But in the Q its never a sure thing.

Yeah, looking at their roster, they have like 9 19 year olds. They could likely add to their team easily with players like Laberge and Comtois being the trade bait. I wouldn't be surprised if they just keep the roster the same and finish midpack without any big trades. Hopefully they do sell off and finish low in the standings though.

Victo has an older team compared to the rest of their division I think, also a few years ago they "bought" when they were 13th in the league so history says they are unlikely to sell, probably will finish mid-pack in the league.

Moncton to get that pick back

Shannon dropped the ball on this one.

My main interest is that there may be a few exceptional players admitted to the draft next year, and we could be in line to grab one. They have a solid team in a pretty weak division. They can probably pile up points within their division and finish mid pack. Still a nice pick to have as long as they don't get any ideas to "load up" at midseason.

I have Victoriaville as virtual lock to finish 2nd or 3rd in their division along with Rimouski. Slow start to the season for them, but I wouldn't read too much into that so far. The one concern has to be their goaltending which has been less than stellar so far. Even so they have a solid group up and down the roster and are clearly ahead of B-C, Chicoutimi and Quebec. No guarantee they'll be anything more than middle of the pack though so this still could be a pretty good pick.

What an incredibly streaky team the Tigres have been so far. They started off slow, then went on a big winning streak and have now lost six in a row.
This pick would currently be sixth overall. Overall standings are so tight right now though that if you win a few games in a row you can quickly move up five or six spots.
