Johnston not playing either - injury or trade now that Sweeney is apparently either back or (since he is not dressed either) on his way back?

I would say the deal kicked in as soon as Sweeney was released ... so we couldn't dress Johnson. Or ... they fear risking injury to Johnston which could scuttle the deal. Down 5 regulars in this one ... letting the younger guys get some ice time.

Well for a team that is suppose to be the power of the league this season, they barely scraped by us with 5 starting top 6 forwards/top 2 d man missing. I find cape breton was miles ahead of them if they would play a disciplined game.
I thought our team held their own and a couple weak goals by Fortin were difference, and some serious poor decisions by some defencemen.

Cormier had a great game. One of the best I've seen him play. And I continue to be impressed with Murphy this year. I find it hard to believe what a years difference makes. And he works like a dog on every shift.

That was their 3rd game in 48 hrs ... you could see them run out of gas late in each period.

Shawinigan was playing their 3rd in 48 hours while the Cats were off Saturday. Obviously missing Garland hurt... Shawinigan is actually a pretty young team. They are like SJ, their best players are mostly 17-18...Beauvillier Gignac Phelan Girard Sylvestre Foulem Yan Welsh Asselin plus Chainey at 16.

And he works like a dog on every shift. I don't find Murphy works that hard...he works a lot harder than last year where he was gassed after 20 seconds, but on his line, the Klimas are usually the ones doing the grunt work. He mostly tries to get open in front and gets involved in the cycle game.
