Should I bother?
The Mooseheads try to break into the win column this weekend after losing the 1st 2 games on this Quebec trip (Sherbrooke Friday; Blainville Boisbriand last night).
So far, it's 1-1; Kevin Resop in goal for the Mooseheads.

Not the greatest start of the year with a few injuries, and only one win ( Now Cavan Fitzgerald may be hurt). But we should improve as the year goes along. And if we don't, we get high picks. There might not be a lot of banter on here as the season rolls along. We'll just grab our popcorn and watch the boards when the Eagles and Cats play each other next.

The most active time on here will be when the Mooseheads trade their "vets" (Donaghey/Meier/Brassard/Moynihan, etc.) to contenders for young assets. There will be great debate as to whether or not Cam and his staff got enough for the players traded, and what kind of upside the imcoming players have (I assume they won't trade their veterans for only draft picks; they can use an 16-17 year old offensive forward who can step into their lineup right away).

A pretty good effort especially considering it was their 3rd game in less than 48 hours; being on the road against a team that has gotten off to a pretty good start in Drummondville (now 7-2), and minus 2 of their bigger stars in Meier and Donaghey. Kept clawing back after falling behind, didn't pack it in. There's no moral wins in sports, but maybe this is a game the team can hang its hat on a bit.

I thought for sure the Moosehead's would be "better" then the Remparts. I know it is only early, but it doesn't look good. I would like to see the Moosehead's compete every night, but I would love to get a top 2 pick in the next midget draft. I hope we take Peter Dinklage. haha just kidding. In all seriousness though there should be some gems in June.

... and I thought waiting from March until June was a long time to be waiting for the draft to hurry up and get here

They've been in all five games you know they've lost all five by a total margin of five goals; hopefully get in the win column thurs it's still early!

In all seriousness though there should be some gems in June. I think the main difference between Halifax and Quebec so far is mainly due to the divisions they are in. The Maritime division is pretty solid and will be tough on Halifax where as Quebec has already picked up 4 point vs. league worst Chicoutimi... And in beside Chi they've also played She, Bac and Victo all teams that have started poorly. At Christmas they should sell like Hali and both first round picks should be very good.

^ could be impossible for any of the East teams to finish last for that reason. Quebec Chic BC should all be really bad, Rimouski probably will cool down after a bit and VIcto should be decent but doesn't even look good right now. All bad but they all play each other. Halifax should get help once Meir gets going because he could be dominant enough to win some games alone but Moncton has that going on with Garland too provided he's not out too long.
