Should be a tough battle ... it seems SJ has been getting stronger and stronger as the weeks go by, and I think that was expected with a Flynn coached team. A win would a great way to start the 3 in 3 weekend ... 3 games in 48 hours actually. SJ is hot on our heels in the division so this may be our biggest game of the season to date.
I'll be interested to get a look at ... whats the new guys name ... lol ?
Do we have any word on Stephen Johnson and his apparent injury that occurred Sunday?
FYI ... this game is apparently on Rogers tonight ... for those who subscribe to Rogers cable.
Weird weekend ... Moncton, Halifax, Saint John and Bathurst are all on a 3 in 3 weekend ... all within the division ... all with a mix of home and road games.
We now start the era of Dupre as the #1. He has played well for a rookie but now needs to step it up.. He looks comfortable in there and has started to show good rebound control. But he is a small goaltender and really has to battle hard like Dubeau did.

With the speed of today's game, a small goalie has to be really sharp as he has to be aggressive in cutting his angles, the margin for error is a lot smaller than the 6'2" or 6'3" guy.

So does Mann-Dixon start a game this weekend? I would say he would start against Halifax.

So does Mann-Dixon start a game this weekend? I would say he would start against Halifax. I say it depends on how Dupre plays - if he takes the job and runs with it, I think you let him go for a while and see if he can establish himself as a legit #1 guy ... If he has a rough outing or two, then you go to Mann-Dixon for a start sooner rather than later.

Yeah, I would think he's get 2/3 and the Blade Man, Mr Dixon the other.

Great start to the 3 in 3 so far. Weiderers goal from Garland was one of the nicest of the season

Was the linesman picking up Webster's teeth after that fight with Cormier ?

Was the linesman picking up Webster's teeth after that fight with Cormier ? Guessing thats why Websters hands were full of blood. Dupre has been very solid tonight. Confidence is always a big thing with goalies and you have to wonder if having the number 1 job at least for now will give him a nice boost of confidence.

For Moncton. Hahaha The Wildcats deserve full marks for that win. Moncton clearly out-hustled Saint John and capitalized on their chances. The Murphy-Klima-Klima line played especially well. It's interesting that, in each game against the Sea Dogs, a different line steps up and leads the Wildcats to a victory.

It definitely looked like men against boys. Not sure if SJ is overrated or the Cats just play their best against them, but it's been a pretty one sided series so far.

So how did Kosack look. Did he play reasonable minutes?
