So how did Kosack look. Did he play reasonable minutes?
He moved the puck well, got caught on a couple odd man rushes going the other way.

Played a regular shift ... looked good, but also looked a little out of synch at times as can be expected for first game with a new team.

I'm never a fan of giving a goalie a 3 in 3, let a lone a young one like Dupre. Yeah, I would think he's get 2/3 and the Blade Man, Mr Dixon the other. I would normally agree with both of you, however would make an exception in this case - new starter, important that he get on a roll. I would go back to him tonight, and, if it goes well, let him have all three. Obviously not a strategy to follow long term, but short term, to let him stake his claim, I think it could pay off.

My problem with your strategy is that when facing one of the top offense we can face in our division we're either going to have a mediocre backup(3rd stringer) or a rookie playing his 3rd game in 48 hours. No real great scenario there. If we're going to give BMD a start I much rather it be against the worst offense of our divisional opponents than the best.

Yeah if you have Dupre tired he might get lit up by CB.

Really solid game from the Cats last night and quite frankly a really poor game from SJ. They were like a comedy team in their own end at times.
As mentioned the Cats depth really shone through again. The top line didn't do a whole lot, but this time the Klima line stepped up and a had a big game.
This game also beneficial for the rest of the weekend as the top line was rested for most of the third and Rumble did a good job rolling through the lines and defence pairs. Not many hard minutes for anyone in that final period.
Dupre didn't really make any spectacular saves, but he was just solid all-around. Gave the Cats exactly what they need. Looked very comfortable in there, covered the lower part of the net extremely well and had a good glove hand as well. I thought SJ did a poor job of not testing him up high more often.
Also I would personally go with Mann-Dixon tonight. I understand the argument of wanting to keep the momentum going for Dupre, but I don't think it's a great idea to throw him right into a 3-in-3.

How did you win all those top poster awards anyways? I am not as good as I once was ... Though in my defense - how did their strategy work out? They barely squeeked out a win over Halifax and laid an egg against CB ... Maybe my idea would have worked better ... no way to know.
