Significant CB Screaming Eagle milestone passed & close to being passed.
The most points/goals for 17 year olds with Cape Breton: James Sheppard 66GP 30G 54A 84PTS (05-06) Olivier Proulx 63GP 30G 49A 79PTS (99-00) Pierre-Luc Dubois 50GP 31G 41A 72PTS (15-16) Stephen Dixon 72GP 28G 42A 70PTS (02-03) William Carrier 66GP 27G 43A 70PTS (11-12)
Dubois officially becomes the first U18 with Cape Breton to score more than 30 goals.
He's also sitting 3rd in points with some of CBs biggest names while only playing 50GP so far.

I remember saying that Dubois would score more points as an Eagle than Sheppard ...
I remember people saying that's because Dubois will play a lot more games than James...
Let's go Piere Luc ... Prove em wrong ..

Prove em wrong .. Starting to look like he won't play more games. He's a sure bet for the WJHC next year which will leave him with less GP. Likely he gets a long look at NHL camp which will hit him at the beginning of the year too. I would say that if he's back next year (and that's not a guarantee) he could still pass on points with a huge year, but next year would be his last. Also possible that he could be trade bait in december and half his year next year is played elsewhere.

Dubois is certainly having a big year. He currently sits 6th in league scoring and could possibly move up to as high as 2nd. Whether or not he returns next year will depend on who drafts him and how they handle their prospects. This team next year looks like a mid-pack team and they could either keep Dubois or he would be a huge trade chip at Christmas, probably netting 3-4 assets from a team wanting a player to put them over the top. We gave up 3-4 assets for Joly and he is a three month rental, Dubois will only be 18 next year, not likely, but possibly 2-3 more years in the league. Will sure be interesting to see how it plays out.

Probably makes the NHL next year to be honest, great talent.
Broke Sheppards record tonight, with 87 points now on the year, also did it in 9 less games.

Just look at Marner & Strome from last year. They're both well rounded players who tore up the OHL offensively but they were sent back because more teams are realizing that only a very small number of teenagers are ready for the NHL grind. Then there's Pittsburgh who put Sprong in a terrible position just because they needed warm bodies lol

Dubois is now in 4th place in League scoring and sits 5 points out of 2nd place. 13 points in 8 games to hit 100, certainly a possibility the way he is playing. Keep up the great work Dubbie. Out of all the negative things that has happened to this team over the past 5-6 years, this kid sure is a pleasue to watch develop. He comes to the rink each day, works hard, doesn't say anything and just keeps on getting better. Best kid to come through here in a long time.

If dubois can hit 100 pts in the remaining 6 games he will be only the 3rd eagle to hit a 100 pts in a season for the eagles.. Other 2 being ryan walsh 97-98-101 pts and dominic noel 01-02-105 pts

Button called Dubois a true prospect. His stock keeps rising, looking forward to seeing where he goes.

this is going to be an interesting draft after the top 3 get picked I like Dubois a bit more than Thachuk and the top Dmen available
