Just watched the hit on youtube, not great video quality but I got the just of what happened. In that situation Dubois probably shouldn't have given Green the shove and the extension of his arms suggest there was some force behind the push. By any means it was not a viscous hit in my mind and certainly could have been a lot worse. Dubois will get the last game of the reg season and a playoff game, 2 games..

My guess would be three games as well. Anything more than that is overkill.

Of course it's not a vicious hit in your mind....you're a Cape Breton fan. Picture that same scenario, except it's Green pushing Dubois into the boards. Still feel the same way? I doubt it. It looks like Dubois puts his hands on Greens back just as they reach the red line. Only after crossing the line does Dubois shove him, behind the net. It looks like a pretty forcible push, IMO. Take into consideration, the force of the hit, the proximity to the boards, and his previous suspension (s?) this year, and I think you're looking at 3 games. If it were regular season only, I'd be guessing 4-5 games, but they seem to equate 2 reg season games with one playoff game when it comes to suspensions.

I wouldn't even attempt to make a guess at what Raymond Bolduc and his disciplinary committee will decide considering Bokondji Imama got an Abuse of officials - game misconduct last night, which is still in the game summary as I write this and I haven't found a thing on a suspension for him even though I could of swore that it was an automatic suspension.

Of course I would be upset, I didn't mean to justify the hit? I said Dubois probably shouldn't have shoved him in that position but I've seen a hell of alot worse. Dubois didn't drive his head into the glass? He didn't charge him and take a run from the blue line, leave his feet, and target the head? The game moves fast and both players were moving at a high rate of speed. Dubois' shove threw him off and the momentum and force didn't help when the glass is 5-6 feet away. So what I'm saying is yeah the hit wasn't "clean" but it wasn't a viscous hit. But I agree a playoff game equals 2 reg season games in my opinion.

I think the final game plus 1 or 2 playoff games seems reasonable. The only thing that makes me think it could be worse than that is that for the time being he is suspended indefinitely. Don't those usually turn out to be relatively lengthy suspensions?
On the other hand, rightly or wrongly, I can't imagine the Q would want their best draft prospect to potentially miss the entire playoffs.

I guess "suspended indefinitely" doesn't necessarily mean a long suspension. 2 or 3 games total would be my guess. Honestly, even a single game wouldn't be that unreasonable to me. In fact, 5 and a game and no suspension at all would have seemed fair to me. While it wasn't clean, nothing about that looked extremely vicious or that he intended for the result to be anywhere near as bad as it was. However, it was careless and from what I understand not the first time, so I can see how the league might think that a light suspension is warranted.

Julien Gauthier all the way down in .....................26 . That is a little surprising . this is Craig Button's list.... he always throws a few curveballs but is it really surprising ? Gauthier didn't exactly light it up the second half of the season, had a relatively mediocre playoff last year and was invisible at the World Juniors the kid had 29 goals in 30 games at the time he left for WJHC.. 12 goals in 24 games after returning.. 2 in his last 10 his stock has certainly dropped... while Dubois charged past him as the top Q prospect

Fans there are calling for him to be benched or dropped to the 3rd/4th line. I wouldn't be surprised to see him fall outside the first round unless he has huge playoffs.

If I remember correctly, Craig button once said that scouts want to see him use his teammates more. Being selfish won't get you far in the NHL..
