Not a great 1st so far, Bathurst has the upper hand minus their two top forwards.
Klima seemed to fall awkwardly after a big hit, looked like he twisted his knee.

Very disappointing loss, facing a 16th place team minus their two top forwards plus playing a 3rd game in 48 hours.
The last 2 games the goaltending has actually been solid but the offense, which is basically Garland has gone dry...

They can't seem to complete a pass in the offensive zone. All chances were derailed by bad passes.

Wednesday will most interesting against Saint John, suspect we will not be the division first place team. As for this afternoon's game, offence is down the toilet in a big way.

The Titan should not be a team the WildCats are looking to face in the series.

Having over 6000 fans in the Coliseum doesn't help. Makes the ice very crappy.
Total of 4 goals on goalies this weekend.

Well, you brought the point up on ice and number of fans. So can we deduce from your commentary if the number in attendance was half that, outcomes could have been different ie more goals, lopsided wins or Cats successful in both home games.

I said total of 4 goals on goalies this weekend, only one of those were Cats goals. Both games were pretty crappy. One could look at the score and think we fixed our defensive woes and goaltending problems but all I did was point out that the ice was shitty which contributed to all three teams missing good chances and fumble the puck all the time. I'm not sure how someone could take my post as saying the Cats would have won both games if the ice was better.

If your ice is that negatively impacted in the middle of winter by having a big crowd....... you guys need to hire better people to make ice
It's not like it's May ... it was the end of January

Anything above freezing temperatures outside and the coliseum can not handle a big crowd. There was visible fog coming off the ice by the 1st intermission due to the heat, plus there was kids skating on the ice all weekend due to the timbit tournament. Its a sad building at this point, but there is light at the end of the tunnel at least now.

We all know Cats won/lost on very good ice conditions, ditto for bad ice conditions. Yes, you are correct with shit Coliseum Ice surface at times of above freezing OAT and associated humidity. I could be wrong but with such conditions having these on-ice intermission radio station silliness(slinging kids and adults down the ice etc.,etc) probably doesn't help especially late floods at end of intermission. This radio station constant yapping DJ shit is getting worse in my view but that is for another argument. However with the new facility, it will be a different story.............
