Moncton also has a game in Bathurst Saturday, and we could have most of our injured playe s back and we usually play Moncton hard. Not an automatic win foot Moncton. There are no automatic wins for any game we play the rest of the way. Every game you have to come with your A effort and hope the goaltending stands up. Anything less than that will normally be a loss.

Kevin Klima out for the rest of the regular season. That pretty much makes the Cats a one line team like last season except with worse goaltending.
I don't see much hope for finishing 1st at this point. Also if they lose to Rimouski on Friday then it starts to become quite possible they fall as low as 7th overall.

SJ also just lost Turcotte, if he's out any length of time, that hurts them pretty hard.

I was looking at the Klimas' stats the other day and though they are still contributing, they are not producing at the same rate since Dec 1st...they play a high energy game and it seems to have sapped them of some energy...obviously Kevin's injury will hurt dearly...
Kevin-pre Dec 1st 29 GP 12-21-33
Kelly-pre Dec 1st 29 GP 13-11-24
Combined 58 GP 25-32-57(0.98 PPGM)
Kevin-post Dec 1st 23 GP 11-6-17
Kelly-post Dec 1st 19 GP 7-4-11
Combined 42 GP 18-10-28(0.67 PPGM) a 31% drop

That line's production died when Bower got hurt.

Murphy was hurt and then Karabcek came along ... Richard has been on that line some. And Kelly missed some time. With injuries and suspensions we have had in the 2nd half we haven't really had any consistent lines. I'd like to know what has happened to Askew ... he has gone missing.

Askew is heavily dependant on Garland feeding him the puck to score. Lately he has played with other linemates and it hasn't gone well. He isn't the fastest or hardest working guy, so he needs to be well surrounded to shine.

He will be out this weekend but could return for the Quebec road trip next week.

As soon as we see back Boivin/Morand/Popov in the lineup, they become a 4 lines offense instead of a two and a half lines offense.

Because there are injuries doesn't change the fact they are among the colder teams in the league ... It's a reason but it doesn't change the facts.

The Cats are also not the 3rd worst teams in the Q but they are cold right now. You have to stop being so paranoid about everything that's posted.
