Worked the last time so I figured we'd get this one going early as well.
2-2-1-1-1 format for this series which is much better then the 2-3-2 we've seen a lot of.
Saint John will be without Mathieu Joseph for the series due to a bad cut to his calf.
No word on Bishop outside of the day-to-day we've been hearing.
This really comes down to a battle of offense vs defense with us having the edge offensively and SJ having the edge defensively.
Only 8 points separated both teams and that's with our awful play early in the year.
If our stars can show a bit more discipline and get a split in the 1st 2 games then I like our chances.
Almost everyone is predicting a 6 or 7 game series and it's easy to see why when comparing the 2.
Starting on Thursday vs Friday might give them a slight edge but I think only having 2 days off between series might help us get an edge early tomorrow night.
We will go as far as our big guns carry us. This is a series we can win which would be our first ever win as an underdog in a series and help erase some of our playoff demons.
Go Eagles.

For those who have Eastlink, the away games are available via purchasing the Super Sports Pack. I think it's $33.99 for a month.

Looking forward to this series. I also think it's a 6 - 7 game series. I wouldn't complain, however, if we took it in less Like it's already been said, edge to CB on offense and edge to the Dogs on defense. Plus a big edge to Saint John behind the bench. A little worried about the couple of times we had big leads in the Sag series and let it dissolve suddenly at crucial moments of the games. You can only let things like that happen so often before you get burned and I know we've escaped it unscaved so far but it's not a habit I'd like to continue and not all but some of that has to fall on the coach. Fingers crossed we learn from those situations in order to improve our game for the second round. Also glad for the sake of the reffing we witnessed last series that it's an all maratime match up like Deer said a couple pages back. Yes reffing may still be bad but hopefully consistently bad at least. Although I thought game 3 was a fairly called game from what I witnessed and I missed game 4. Can't wait to get it started! Go Eagles !

So excited for the series! Close to a sellout in game 6 so I would expect a sellout in game 3. Eventhough we have the edge on offence, Saint John is no pushover, and you forgot the Dogs possibly having the edge in goal. Turcotte played well against us and made it hard to score.

I think goaltending is a wash. Both are veterans whose numbers are more an indication of how their teams play in front of them.

I remember the battle Belanger and Turcotte had on Sportsnet and how they kept getting praise for their efforts

For those who have Eastlink, the away games are available via purchasing the Super Sports Pack. I think it's $33.99 for a month. Not sure that would be the wisest route. You can buy individual games for just under $8 ... and so it would have to go 7 to get to $32. If it goes 6 you are way ahead. Plus ... not sure the game is on Super Sports Pack if the game is not covered by Rogers. Apparently Rogers is covering games 1, 3, 4, 5 (Friday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday) of the Moncton series ... and game 1 of your series (Thurs) is not yet showing up on the Rogers schedule on my TV. Last round Rogers did provide in game updates of the SJ series when the Moncton game was on at the same time ... and vice versa when they showed an SJ game ... so because Rogers will have a camera in the building you might get a feed on Super Sports Pack. Somebody more knowledgeable than me on Rogers plans can correct me if I am wrong. I don't have Super Sports pack so no idea what they show and don't show.

The Super Sports Pack shows all four games in Saint John on it's master schedule. www.eastlink.ca/Portals/0/CableDigitalTV/Sports/ROGERS_SUPER_SPORTS_PAK.pdf

Yes he's been out indefinitely for a while and there doesn't appear to be any sign of him returning soon. For what it's worth Bailey Webster has been out for a long time but I heard he could be back at some point during this series.

Normally with eastlink they prorate what you buy and you can cancel anytime with a phone call. So I would guess that if you got the pack for say 2 weeks you would only pay half of the monthly price.
