it's kind of like giving Nickleback 3 Juno awards. They tried, but they still weren't very good, and at the end of the day nobody cares about a Juno Award. What an ignorant statement. You may not care about a Juno award, but a lot of other people do. And I don't like Nickelback, for the record. Enjoy East Coast Music Week. Hope somebody cares up there. Strike a nerve? Great comeback with the ECMA comment as well.

With the exception of about 5 mins at the start of the third this was a lesson on how not to play hockey but a couple things stuck out. 1) Peyton Hoyt glued to the bench. Kid has been showing real intensity so far in the playoffs and, Yano he's our future. But let's get Bertrand out to win us the game? 2) How can somebody play as stupid and selfish as Leville and not miss a single god damn shift? Took a dumb penalty after he got away with a punch in the head and cost us a goal. Comes to the bench and goes right back out next shift. 3) How does a 20 yo defenseman bobble the god damn puck when he knows the goalie is skating to the bench right behind him? Not that I'm overly surprised but with our firepower we're not out of a 2 goal game with 1:30 on the clock. Not likely they would have come back but it damn sure didn't help that we never even got our 6th skater on the ice before they scored an EN.
End rant.

Joly didn't seem to have his normal jump to his game tonight Belanger was good but not great There wasn't much for defence for the Eagles tonight Svech just wow, couldn't recieve a pass, Calm a bobbling puck, or shoot for the life of him Martineau was our best player tonight in my eyes, deep on the fore check, and wasn't afraid to hit anyone that was on the ice.

How are the 3 stars relevant? There's no prize or money involved? Every home team in the league selects at least one or more of their hometown player(s) and there is never an issue. The Sea Dogs won and played a solid, well coached, road playoff game, that should be all that matters.. Shut up!

Too bad we couldn't have snuck Chris Culligan into a jersey tonight and sent him out there.
Was good to see him.

Hmmmmm... They set the trap up! I wonder what could be done?
Maybe dump the puck in , set up a trap against them?
Lol, I don't pretend I can coach at this level but come on man! Make adjustments.

Unprepared. Out-coached. Out-worked.
3 ways you're always going to lose playoff hockey games.
Some of our veterans played most of that game with the intensity of a Sunday afternoon in October.
Others showed so much lack of poise and discipline that it was impossible to come back from it even with a 10 or 15 minute effort that they tried to get by on.
Leveille was an leading the way in the undisciplined department. His slash that led to their 2nd goal was one of the worst penalties you could see a veteran take at that stage...down 1-0 in a game 3 of a 1-1 series...that's where a good coach makes an example out of him. He had a blatant slash that went uncalled.
Svechnikov, when he wasn't losing pucks and unwilling to get his nose dirty, was like a friggin lumberjack out there.
Gosselin...extremely mediocre performance from a 20yr old in a big game. We need much better. Same with Belanger.
Our bench management and overall line matchups really puzzles everyone it seems. Our 3rd and 4th lines never get much action and the top 6 outside of Fiore had no answer to their system.
Speaking of Fiore...one of our few bright spots I think. Blocking shots, scored a big goal, made something happen on a night where almost nobody did. We need that kind of play for everyone.
SJ played a textbook road game. They controlled the play and limited our shot selection to all the areas where scoring is very tough. Until we're ready to drive to the net and get some dirty goals this series will go their way.
Turcotte gave up nothing in terms of rebounds and was able to see everything.
Zboril and Chabot might have been the best players in the game. Logged a ton of minutes and gave our forwards fits all night on any breakout and zone entry attempt.
The Eagles, for one reason or another, looked almost asleep at the wheel at certain times tonight. Slow breakouts with no speed or momentum, standing still or expecting others to take the puck, blind passes through feet that had almost 0 chance of connecting...it was one of the more frustrating playoff efforts in recent memory because we shouldnt be outworked like that on home ice.
Not even sure what Game 4 brings after watching the first 3 games as both teams have shown the best and worst they seem to have to offer.

Comes to the bench and goes right back out next shift. End rant. When he took the penalty and they scored I figured it was the perfect situation for Dumont to take control of his team. He did nothing. Pretty sure Leveille got away with a slash that broke a stick in the 2nd as well. Outside of his goal he was awful.

The Sea Dogs won and played a solid, well coached, road playoff game, that should be all that matters.. Shut up! Seems like you're defending the choices made. I haven't seen anyone argue relevancy. In most games yes, you can find a 'game star' from either team. Not arguing that. My point is that if Phelix Martineau is named first star of that game, then 3 stars shouldn't be named at all, at least in CB. That makes it a mockery. A mockery you seem to support. And if it's so irrelevant to you, why even bother making your comment?
