Here's what kinda guy Imama is......during the last game when him and Geno were in the penalty box, he stands up and yells over the glass ....I f@cked your mother , she's s dirty whore.......everyone sitting around there heard it, and there's always kids sitting there too! that is a horrible thin to say and if I was the red by the box I would have gave him a ten for saying it but it's not his job to watch what he says beacuase of a age group by him but yes he should not have sed that I don't car if they are 8 years old or 80 years old

I think it will get worse if fighting is banned.
Look at the nhl alone. Fighters are basically gone and the bad hits are increasing.
As for chirping, it's part of it all.
Marchand is the most memorable to me in that valdor series way back when.

Brad Marchand was public enemy number one. I was okay with it all until his ridiculous victory celebration where he started picking snow up and throwing it at fans.

The instigator rule and the stage fighting rule cause these type of hits! Eagles fan but when the dogs had Brett Gallant , he played hockey and if the other team got greasy he would solve the problem! You were definitely leaving with a black eye or a bloody nose but not on a stretcher. # 51 deserves a 1 game suspension at most , he was ejected last game. The hit was clean but the charging was intended to injure

Side note: Congratulations to Chase Marchand on setting a new playoff record. Not allowing a goal in his last 215 minutes of play.

Playing in front of a good team helps his stat line as well. 0.30 GAA, .985 SV% but only around 20 shots against per game. But he has made the saves when called upon, a couple of those shutouts were 1-0 games. Congrats to him, who knows, if we win and Charlottetown loses, were up against them next round assuming Rouyn doesn't shit the bed.

Take out the instigator rule and Imama suddenly becomes one of the most valuable players in the league, and certainly the most dangerous.

Easy explanation, Balgeron suckers Immama when he is down on Bisson ! He gets him with 3 punches before he can get up! No instigating but retribution at its best

No instigating but retribution at its best I'm pretty sure that sucker punching was always a suspendable offense with or without an instigator penalty. But let's assume it wasn't, what's to stop a guy like Imama from doing the same thing you are suggesting to anyone at any time? And by any time I mean, he wouldn't have to wait to do it in response to a hit like this. Also why do we assume that a 5 minute major penalty and a game misconduct and possible suspension is not enough to deter someone from making this type of hit, but we assume that the extra 2 minutes for instigating and 10 minute misconduct is enough to deter someone from sticking up for a teammate in response to a hit like this? Do you not see the flaw in that logic? And that's not even taking into account that it's a coin flip as to whether or not an instigator would be called when it's in response to a play that is deemed dirty.

You do that and you lose the full major powerplay plus you get a sure line brawl. Honestly, I think most fans would have been cool with that. I feel they stood up for him by showing SJ up on the scoreboard. I think they can channel their anger and show up double time for their injured teammate.
