It's been over a year. I figure it's time...
Welcome to Trivia with a Twist 24!
The rules:
Below are ten trivia questions. Each question has multiple answers, and are easy enough that even the casual hockey fan should be able to get at least one of the answers. Here's the trick - your goal is to choose the correct answer you think the least other people will know.
Correct Answers are worth one point for every player who answered it, so if nine other people answered the same as you did, you'd get ten points. If you're the only one who used that answer, you get one point. An incorrect answer is worth the most popular correct answer for that question, plus 5 points.
You may choose to pass on one question. Mark that question "PASS", and that question scores 0. If you do not use your pass, I'll drop your highest scoring correct answer.
Scores for each question are added together, and low score wins. Please no outside sources.
Answers should be submitted to me by PM. I found that it was a lot of work to run the last December version for just 16 players, so this time, I'll accept entries until I have 20, or until December 11th @11:59:59 PM, whichever comes LAST. (i.e. if we have 20 or more by the eleventh I'll cut it off and start scoring. If not, it'll stay open until we get to 20). To encourage getting your entry in early, the first tiebreaker will be the time of receipt of a complete entry. The earlier you get your entry in, the higher your tie-break priority.
A friendly reminder that it is much easier on me if you do not include the questions with your entry. A PM Subject including the phrase "TWaT XXIV Entry" helps too.
For question ten, I don't need to know which picture you are referring to.
Good luck! THE QUESTIONS: 1) Name a city that has been home to both an NHL franchise AND an AHL franchise, though not necessarily at the same time.
2) Name a player who has played in an NHL game since Jan 1, 2005, and has played for at least nine different NHL teams (not all of which have to have occurred after 1/1/2005)
3) EA Sports NHL 17 has added the possibility of relocating your struggling team in their “Franchise” game mode. Besides Las Vegas, who already got their real-life team, name one of the other eighteen North American cities available for relocation.
4) In the last three World Junior Tournaments, 10 different QMJHL Players have won a medal while representing their country. Name one.
5) Name a team in the big four pro sports leagues (MLB/NHL/NFL/NBA) that features a colour in their teams. The color can be part of a compound word but must reasonably be a part of the name (e.g. the “red” in pREDators doesn’t count). To save a cheeky answer, Las Vegas' new NHL club don't count as they don't really exist yet, but would otherwise be correct.
6) Name a player who has scored at least 100 points and amassed at least 250 PIM for the Halifax Mooseheads
7) Moncton got their first taste of Q hockey in the fall of 1995. Name a team that existed in the QMJHL since September 1995 that no longer exists now. The team may have folded, relocated, or changed names. Teams that were “created” after September ‘05 still count, provided they no longer exist today.
8) Name a player drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets with a Top ten pick.
9) Name an NHL team who had a QMJHL alumnus appear in goal in a regular season game in 2015-16.
10) Name one of the pictured Hockey Hall of Famers (hint: there’s one from each of the last 9 induction classes)

For number one, Greensboro, NC is not a correct answer. The NHL 'Canes played games there, but only temporarily; they were always "based" in Raleigh.

For number five, I want normal colour names. "Royal" is not blue. "Raven" is not black. "Cardinal" is not red.

For question three, there were 19 relocation options at game launch, but EA has added 7 new cities via an update patch. I'll count any of these as correct as well

What's that? Probably the most points with no wrong answers thus far? The more things change, the more they stay the same.

What's that? Probably the most points with no wrong answers thus far? The more things change, the more they stay the same. It's a honour you share with catnut, but yes, you have the most points by any player with four correct answers so far.
