Well I hope the boys love being on the road cause 16 of their remaining 25 games are road games.
3 in 4 to end January then two quick home games before going on the annual 6 game Québec road trip in February another 3 in 4 at the start of March and finally finish the season on a 3 in 4.
That's with some back to backs sprinkled in at home against Saint John, Bathurst and Charlottetown.

Those games against the weaker teams in the division will ultimately tell the tale of the whole season. Most people would say there's zero question that CB should finish ahead of those 3 but those head to heads is where we'll have the chance to really prove it and hopefully finally leap frog all 3 in the standings.

Assuming the ultimate goal is 6th, how many wins will they need in the remaining 25 games to achieve that? We are now back in 17th spot, I would think 65 pts would be a lock, so that is 15 wins to be on the safe side. Can we increase our winning percentage by a full .200 pts? 13 wins could get us real close.

The other 3 ahead of us should have a tougher 2nd half after selling so might not even need to get to 65 points. The breakdown is Halifax x3 on road Moncton x3 on road Bathurst x4 3 at home SJ x4 2 home 2 away Charlottetown x4 3 home Road games @ RN, VD, Gat, BB, Drum, Shaw Home game vs Rim There's definitely a path to 13 wins there. 12 games vs teams that are beatable with 8 of those at home. Should also help the team as there's a pile of winnable games on home ice that offer the chance to build some good momentum down the stretch. Coming out of the 6 game Quebec trip with a healthy lineup is a key.

Probably 24 more points Ceiling 30 points Disappointment = 20 or less
Halifax x3 on road (0) Moncton x3 on road (1) Bathurst x4 3 at home (2) SJ x4 2 home 2 away (3) Charlottetown x4 3 home (3) Road games VD, Drum, (2) Home game vs Rim (1)
There is room to improve this. This would be the baseline though with this particular team. If they can get a third win on big roadie through Quebec or sweep one of the lesser NB/PE teams then that is their real ceiling about 15 games. Probably some of these games they could win they will come close but barely lose. Always looks possible on paper.

Jim Hulton pick a rabbit out of his hat from Ontario Dixon Grimes very good move and smart to have connections

Jim Hulton pick a rabbit out of his hat from Ontario Dixon Grimes very good move and smart to have connections I would argue that Robiliard has been the better pickup and will be the Starter going forward but Hulton is known for having a great eye for FA talent and connections in Ontario. He's done such a great job over in PEI building a winning program, even if they haven't gotten over the big hump just yet.

Some sloppy goaltending by the Cats yesterday..I would say Steinman would want 3 of the 6 back. Anyway a win is a win. I am sticking with my 15-10 record in order to get to 6th, no one is interested in rolling over just yet. We are really pushing forward as a 2 line team down the stretch, with one of these line providing 95% of the offense, not sure how far that will take us..14 more I hope.

We roll into Northern New Brunswick with 2 points on our minds . Anything less would be disappointing . Carry some momentum from The Hub City into Bathurst tonight and see what happens . These are the games that are penciled in as wins in hopes of staying clear of the Battle for the Basement .
